Kurby wanted to say the words he knew Elija wanted to hear, even if the man said it was fine.
However, he couldn’t do it. Not yet. Kurby knew he cared deeply for Elija. He knew that Elija was quickly becoming the most important person in his life.
Kurby hated to be apart from Elija. He loved hearing the man laugh and seeing him smile. Kurby could listen to the crazy stories of all his friends, and couldn’t stop the laughter when Elija told him about the practical-joke war between Regee and Loki, and all the different pranks they’d pulled.
