Serah barely slept. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw glowing eyes in the darkness. She saw the rogue wolves. Their teeth. Their claws. The certainty that she was about to die. Then she saw Damon. The enormous black wolf that had appeared out of nowhere. The terrifying Alpha who claimed to hate her. The same Alpha who had saved her life. Nothing about him made sense. Nothing about this town made sense anymore. The morning sunlight streamed through her apartment window, but it did little to ease the heaviness in her chest. She sat at the edge of her bed, staring at her hands. Someone wants you. Damon’s words echoed in her head. The problem was she already knew that. She had known for years. Long before Damon. Long before this town. Long before the attacks started.
