Amelia’s POV
I looked up at my savior, my heart still racing from the way he had handled that creep on the dance floor. Now that he was standing right in front of me, I could see his face clearly. He was incredibly handsome—strong jaw, dark hair, and those forest-green eyes that seemed to pull me in like magic. I couldn’t stop staring into them.
And his scent… Oh my God. He smelled like the sweet, fresh air of the forest after rain—woodsy, clean, and somehow comforting. It made my head feel light and my body warm in a way I couldn’t explain.
We stood there staring at each other, the loud music fading into the background, until the guy from the dance floor tried to speak again.
“Hey man! I saw her first. I’m supposed to be—”
He didn’t get to finish. My savior grabbed him by the neck so fast it made me gasp. His voice came out low and dangerous.
“Listen here, punk. When a girl says no, you let it be. And if you don’t leave her alone this minute, you will actually die.”
The man’s eyes went wide and red with fear. He tried to nod, his face turning purple. When my savior finally let go, the guy scrambled away like his life depended on it, disappearing into the crowd.
I should have been scared, but instead I found it strangely hot. No one outside my family had ever defended me like that before. It made me feel protected… wanted.
“Thank you for saving me,” I said softly, my voice a little shaky.
“Join us,” he answered. It wasn’t really a question.
“I don’t think—” I started, but before I could finish, he took my hand gently but firmly and began pulling me toward the VIP section. His touch sent sparks up my arm. I didn’t understand why holding his hand felt so electric, like every nerve in my body was waking up. Did he feel it too?
We reached the booth, and the other man was still sitting there, watching us with the same intense gaze. They looked so much alike—identical, actually. Twins. Both tall, broad, and dangerously good-looking.
We sat down, and the one who saved me poured me a drink. I took it without thinking. What was wrong with me? Why was I being so free with two complete strangers? But something about them made me feel safe, even excited.
“So, what is a pretty girl like you doing out here all alone?” the one who saved me asked, his green eyes never leaving my face.
“I just needed a breath of fresh air,” I replied.
“In the club?” He raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on his lips.
“Yes. I needed to forget… at least for tonight, before I face reality tomorrow.”
He nodded like he understood. “Well, in that case, we will help you forget. Isn’t that right, Luke?” He turned to his twin, who gave a slow nod, his eyes dark and hungry.
So the other one was Luke. That meant the one who saved me was…
“What’s your name?” I asked him.
“Lucas.”
They didn’t ask for my name, and I didn’t offer it. Maybe they didn’t want to know. Maybe names didn’t matter tonight.
We talked and drank. The conversation flowed easily, and the alcohol warmed my blood. After a while, my mind started drifting to dangerous places. I couldn’t stop thinking how it would feel to have both of them touch me. Their strong hands on my skin, their bodies close to mine. Heat pooled between my legs, and I shifted in my seat, suddenly very aware of how aroused I was becoming.
“Seems like someone is aroused,” Lucas said with a smirk, his voice low and teasing.
“What? No!” I tried to deny it, but my face flushed hot. His words only made me wetter.
“Liar,” he answered, leaning closer. “I can scent you from over here.”
I didn’t even question how he could “scent” me. Before I could think, he pulled me gently toward him and nuzzled his face into my neck. His breath was warm against my skin, and I couldn’t hold back the loud moan that escaped my lips. My hands grabbed onto his shoulders for support.
“I want to kiss you,” he whispered against my ear. “Will you allow me?”
I nodded, too lost in the moment to speak.
He placed his lips on mine, and the world tilted. The kiss started soft, almost gentle, but quickly grew deeper. His mouth moved against mine with passion, his tongue sliding in to taste me. It was slow and hungry at the same time, like he was savoring every second. My hands tangled in his hair, and I kissed him back just as fiercely. Heat spread through my whole body, making my toes curl. When we finally pulled apart, both of us breathing hard, I felt like I was floating. I had never been kissed like that before. It left me dizzy and wanting more.
A minute later, I felt strong hands lift me, and suddenly I was on Luke’s lap. He didn’t waste time. He pulled me close and captured my lips in another kiss. This one was different—deeper, more urgent. His hands rested on my waist, holding me firmly against him as his tongue explored my mouth. The kiss was passionate and possessive, sending waves of pleasure through me. I melted into him, my body pressing closer, lost in the feel of his lips and the hardness of his chest. Every stroke of his tongue made me moan softly into his mouth.
Things were getting heated fast. My hands roamed over Luke’s shoulders while Lucas watched with dark, hungry eyes. Then Luke slowly pulled away. His eyes had changed—they looked darker now, almost glowing with intensity.
“Let’s get out of here,” he said, his voice rough.
He pulled me up with him, and Lucas stood too. My legs felt weak, but I followed them toward the private elevator at the back of the club.
“Where are we going?” I asked, my voice breathy as we stepped inside.
“Heaven,” Lucas answered with a wicked smile. “We are taking you to heaven.”
