Ashley was suspended because of the incident though, nobody believed her words because it sounded insane.

After that dramatic event Lucius went back to the hell mansion, he looked relaxed but troubled.

This is the first time in a millennium that this kind of thing happened. How could she see him, he is only seen by the person he permits.

Last time he checked there was nothing wrong with his powers, though by the break of the day Ashley would not remember anything about Lucius and the incident. But, he really wants to know why she could see him.

His mind was still clouded with thought when Aida came up to him looking all dressed up in a royal attair.

She is the princess of Luxor (Thebes).

Because of Lucius' generosity, strength and power the royal family arranges a marriage between Aida and Lucius on the next red moon, which is one year later.

Aida has been trying to get Lucius to like her but he never shows any comparison.

Lucius is a kind of person, strong, cold hearted and with no comparison.

Everybody in the hell mansion, in Thebes and beyond knows him and fears him because of his anger. He is never to be joked with, he gets what he wants.

Aida walked to him majestically, she always looked for attention, and a taste for romance from anyone especially from Lucius, and that's what he hates in her, pretending to like anyone is not really his specialist.

"You are troubled" Aida said as if she knew what was going on inside him.

"My lady" Lucius greeted, he always paid his respect but in a pleasing manner.

" ha no, i would have preferred ' your majesty ' but, have your way of pleasing me. You know you can please me in so many other ways other than just words"

She said as she stood close to Lucius, rubbing his chest and expecting more from him.

Lucius looked at her and chuckled, "I'll pass, my lady"

He removed her hand from his chest, he doesn't really like anyone touching him, especially not Aida.

Aida looked away and sat down on a sofa close to her

"You don't like me, do you?" Aida always asks him this question almost every time expecting something more.

"I do not have a heart my lady, am not allowed to trust let alone love".

His answers always disappoint her, but as a mind reader she knows something is bothering him, though he looks relaxed.

Trying to read his mind was like fighting with a powerful enemy, she wouldn't try it but she really wants to know why. Last time she did it, he trapped her in his mind causing her pain not to breathe.

She tried to get into his mind but it was all blocked.

"You blocked me from going in" she said

"I figured you will be doing that today, so i didn't want to cause you pain, Aida stay out of my head, next time would be more painful, you would hate me and you know your father wouldn't like that".

Lucius said and left, he doesn't want to be anywhere near her, cause he knows what he can do.

A scream from the kitchen woke Ashley up.

She stood up and stomped to the kitchen, "hey Ashley" Bella greated smiling looking all guilty.

"Why!" Ashley yelled,

"What? what do u mean why" Bella asked not waiting for Ashley to ask further she explain

"I saw this… U...know, t****k video where there was a girl holding a glass, she scream and the glass shattered into tiny pieces"

Bella is Ashley's best friend, who is also her house mate.

Bella is a designer and also a crazy tiktoker.

"Give me that" Ashely collected Bella's phone forcefully

She went to tik tok and showed her the trick the girl used. Bella saw this and could not stop causing herself not knowing it was all a trick.

They heard a knock on the door, and Bella went to get it. It's the new neighbour who moved in a few weeks ago.

Ashley could sit on the kitchen stool and watch them chit chat and laugh like something has been going on.

When Bella was done chit chatting she came inside with a whole lovely look.

"You should have invited him in, you know…" Ashley said, eyeing her, Bella knows she suspects there is something going on between them.

"No, no, no Ashley, there is nothing going on between us.. You know it's just friendly neighbours chit chatting"

Ashley, who looked curious, had to keep her curiosity to herself.

"I didn't say you guys where a thing or something is going on OK?"

"Are you not going to work today? You know you have to solve your big case". Bella asked, you know Ashley didn't really think about her big case like she always does everyday.

"Not today, i have been suspended cause, i arrested JJ thinking he was a suspect in the death of parents" Ashley said.

Bella told her with a good heart

"You need to stop thinking about vengeance and start thinking about your life. Since your parents' death you haven't experienced anything fun. You know what Ashley, you are going to go out on a date, maybe this would help you somehow"

Ashley knew that Bella was always the kind who loves fun, but going out on a date was too much.

"No!" Ashley knew what she was saying she had no time in going out on dates when she hadn't figured out who killed her parents yet. She knew she had missed a lot in her childhood days, but she knew it was not the time for that.

Bella took up Ashley's phone which was not always locked cause she knew she had no secrets to keep especially not with Bella.

Bella went to a dating app and created an account for Ashley setting her likes and dislikes,which Ashley was unaware of.

Ashley knew something was up when she saw Bella smiling over the phone. Ashley and Bella have the same pouch and probably use the same brand of phone so it would be a little difficult to know. But, seeing Bella smiling over the phone was one of the things Ashley knew had never happen.

Ashley went on and peep, and saw it's was her phone. Ashley looked at what Bella was doing and became angry with her. Ashley was about to jump on her to purnish her

But, Bella told her she got a match and the guy is extremely handsome that he would suit her taste but Ashley doubts it.

When she looked at his profile, his name Lucius, she found out that both of them had so much in common which made her so strangely attracted to Lucius.

Ashley chats with Lucius for a while. Lucius wrote to her that they should meet at one of the famous restaurants, and she agreed to meet up.

Ashley was strangely excited to meet this guy who for the first time in her life was attracted to.

Ashley walked down the restaurant which was empty which

has never happened before, she began to panic. What if the person who had been doing all these things making a body lifeless and rotten in just an hour finds out I was investigating this incident and wants to take my life.

As she was still in thought, A guy came out from the corner. She didn't really know where he came from , but she was distracted by his strange aura.

"Lucius". The guy said straight out his hand for a handshake.

Now Ashley remembered her date, his name is Lucius.

She took the guy's hand for a handshake.

Lucius offered her a seat and ordered for her.

Ashley was amazed by his actions "where is everyone?'

Lucius answered

'I didn't want any witness, so I bought the place and drove everyone out'.

Ashley thought, we were just having a one day date and he bought the whole place and what does it mean that he doesn't want any witnesses. Is this some part of a plan to wipe me off from the investigation?.

'Yes!'. Lucius called out very loud. Ashley became confused is it possible for him to have listen to my thoughts

'The food is here we can now eat' Lucius said again. Ashley laughed. She really thought he was listening to her thoughts but she was wrong, that was not even possible.

As they ate they got talking Ashley asked him about his family and Lucius said

'I have a very big family where I am very highly respected' Ashley looked at him in disbelief, so that's it?

' What about your family?' Lucius questioned.

Immediately Lucius popped the question Ashley started to feel uncomfortable but also she felt she badly wanted to tell him.

"They died, and emmm i think it's the monster who am investigating about killed them'

immediately she stopped talking she found out she said something she shouldn't but, it felt right to tell him.

Lucius then asked her "have you died before".

"No," Ashley answered immediately without overthinking it.

"Are you a priest?" Lucius asked her not to miss any details.

These questions really shocked Ashley. What did he really think of her, a priest?She actually lived in the church but never considered being a priest.

"No" she gave him a straight answer trying to avoid his stares.

Lucius looked at her with disbelief, he knew she was hiding and didn't know what. He saw her trying to avoid his eyes for some reason he asked her.

"Do you often pray?"

Hearing this, Ashley tried to understand the situation, maybe he is a very strong believer who wants to enquire more knowledge.

"Sometimes" she answered, looking at him straight in his eyes.

"And what are your prayers and why don't I hear them?"

Lucius asked her, Lucius listened to people's prayers of vengeance but, when it came to her, he could only hear her murmuring.

If she said she used to pray, why is it that she hid her prayers, doesn't she want miracles?

Or she doesn't have prayers of vengeance at all? Can a person like that exist?. Lucius tried all possible way to listen to her prayers but could not hear anything if he went deeper . All he could hear was a sweet soft siren.

Ashley tried to understand what he meant by 'why can't I hear them'. Who did he think he was?

Ashley was about to answer him when he stopped her by the waves of his hand.

Immediately Ashley forgot every question Lucius asked her. She began to feel a headache and then fainted.

Lucius looked at her with no pity, immediately he stood up, took her and left.
