Luca POV The files on my desk hit the floor with a flutter of papers. “What do you mean, you’ve found no trace?” I yelled at Marco. “A woman can’t just disappear! Someone had to have seen something, damn it!” Marco stood on the other side of my desk, hands clasped in front of him as he watched me vent my anger and frustration. “I’m sorry, Luca. But none of the families are claiming responsibility, and if we start asking them about her, we’ll expose the fact that she’s gone. Our moles haven’t heard anything either. We’ve pulled all the footage we can find, but whoever was involved is good.
