My adoptive mother once told me that if she hadn't married my adoptive father, she might have stayed near my maternal grandparents and opened a little flower shop.
So I bought back the house that had once been my adoptive mother's home. It came with a backyard.
I expanded the yard and planted it with flowers.
Then I opened a small flower shop out front.
Life moved slowly here.
People came from all over, drawn by the town's reputation, to stay for a while.
