Late the next day, Llewellyn was sifting through some of the files that they’d taken from Laura’s flat—more members of anti-Agit-Prop crowd Rafferty wouldn’t be surprised. He had obtained Timothy Smales painstakingly typed list of Laura Scott’s various Causes and had spent all afternoon breaking them down into likely prospects.
Rafferty was happy to leave him to it. He was just waiting for Lilley and Smales. Seeing as nothing else was happening, he had, that morning, instructed Lilley to take Smales and go and carry out a series of preliminary interviews on DI Wainwright’s witnesses/suspects.
