Chapter Two: Reliving a very triggering memory, yes, it should be maddening, not seductive!

I was feeling weak and anxious about being inside this forest. But more than anything, I was livid! Being falsely accused of stealing the Luna's bracelet that was apparently her most loved and valuable possession had me fuming! And being sent out into this doomed place that was known to be infested with the most rebellious rogues was not necessary, and yet here I was, to pay for a crime that had not been committed by me, if it was committed at all!

I know the luna has something against me. She had only just laid eyes on me for the first time when it looked very obvious that she hated me. My alpha had found his second mate after slaying his first one, and she was a walking drama queen!

Her behaviour towards me proved that I was not just exaggerating the moment that she first saw me!

Fabian always told me that she is jealous because I possess so much beauty, but that could never make me feel better, because the horrible treatment never stopped and that was all I wanted, to be treated like I had feelings for once!

As soon as she had gotten comfortable, I had been taken out of school. In my last year! It was devastating!

That was all I could think about, not leaving out the explicit memories of all the times I went through abusive times in that stupid house!

And now I was being punished by being tossed into this forest!

I dropped the bracelet my mother gave to me at birth before abandoning me and pressed it against my chest. I did not want to cry and give that b***h satisfaction but it was too late! I was overwhelmed and had to let myself break down before I can pick myself up.

Just seconds after the first tear fell, the sadness suddenly left and in its place stood a very questionable emotion. It was almost as though I was coming to life for the first time, and feeling happy, yet anxious for the first time!

It was my eighteenth birthday today and that was the reason I was even sadder! I imagine the Luna knew of this and thought of a perfect way to ruin things for me!

Today was the red moon celebration, and the well known significance of that day was the fact that it was the best time of the year to find a mate! It always took the spotlight from my birthday, not that I minded anyway!

When my wolf began speaking to me for the first time, I knew what it possibly meant! Was I near my mate?

I wiped my tears and smiled enthusiastically! "Please let it be what I need!" I was silently hoping that my mate was very much near me and was just who i needed to escape that hell hole of a pack!

I could sense heavy masculinity and danger! And I was loving it! I followed the delicious scent eagerly, navigating through the forest carefully!

The scent had gotten so heavy that I just knew he was near, and boy was I nervous!

After standing still and anticipating, I witnessed a very pleasing, yet intimidating sight!

A big black wolf approached me and I retreated on my feet. I could see him looking at me, very pleased. His entire body was as close to perfection as it gets! There was not a single sign of suffering from battle. This right here was a man like no other, and the more he looked at me, the more he drove me and my wolf crazy!

The wolf transformed into a man that was towering significantly over six feet, definitely closer to Seven feet tall!

I was a panting mess and he neared me and pushed his hair back to reveal his face. My olive green eyes pierced into his greyish silver ones and my heart dropped. "Mate! Mate! Mate!" My wolf still had the audacity to scream! Stupid wolf, this was not a moment to be cheering on!

"I finally found you, mate!" He spoke to me with such a deep and hoarse voice while cupping my jaw and forcing me to look up at him!

"What is your name?" He questioned and I just trembled before making it a point to take deep breaths.

Breathe, Raine!

I was trying to understand what Alpha Baron, the most feared Alpha amongst all wolves was doing calling me his mate! This was frightening!

I could never let such a man be called my mate!

"I said...what is your name?" He asked me when my eyes had began to linger on his hanging privates for way too long! That was monstrous! No way in hell!

My eyes were still widened when he gave me that look, a look that sent chills down my spine. He lowered his height to my level and planted planted his lips on mine.

"s**t! Not again!" I yelled against my pillow as soon as I woke up! Of course I would have this dream!

It felt too real, I was actually much more bothered than I should have been by this dream, seeing as I already had it multiple times last year! I had already concluded that my birthday easily brought back those memories because it was such a significant day!

I had to give myself a bit of a slap for viewing things in a horny point of view this time around! That d**k looked way more appealing and imagination provoking than I wanted it to be!

I was just too thirsty at this point! I should never ever see Alpha Baron that way!

My phone vibrated under my pillow and I instantly picked it up and checked the time. I had barely slept for three hours and this was already happening!

My eyes landed on Dean's message and my stomach immediately began to do somersaults!

"Looking forward to our date tomorrow. When should I pick you up?" His text read, with a naughty little wink at the end!

Great! Thanks to Chloe, I had to go out with Dean just a day before my birthday, when I had to be looking out for myself as much as I possibly can! I would be lying though if I said I was not excited that the crazy witch I called a best friend organized this!
