The next day, after Rey had ‘agreed’ to go with Dahlea and Zaria to the Appointment, the preparations for the event began immediately. Rey thought it was interesting how Zaria was so reluctant about going in the first place, yet she was the one who was directing most of their preparations for the Appointment. Rey didn’t fully understand why they needed to prepare for it; as far as she knew it was just a glorified graduation ceremony s***h induction into the Council-led order of witches, but she went along with whatever Zaria asked her to do. Things were easier for all involved.
