Mirabella POV I didn’t look back as I left the hospital, clutching the small bundle that held my twins close to my chest. I couldn’t afford to. The letter I’d left for Taylor sat heavy in my mind, a weight I had no desire to carry but one I knew was necessary. It was a simple note—a farewell wrapped in vague words, meant to leave him wondering but not follow.
