Year passed I'm 17 going on 18. I'll be at sea for my birthday. So Dave and his daughter ruby decided to have a birthday party for me as a going away gift as well. I managed to save enough money and then some. I helped out with new roof so they could rent my room out after I leave. I feel the freedom of going home once again. I gotten alot stronger helping down at the docks Red even let me take a small fishing trip with them. For week I learned how stay alive on a boat with 10 men. Each taking turns cooking an cleaning up after each meal. How pull in cage's. How not to fall off ship. Good thing we are all wolf's. I learn that on our fishing trip. That's why Red was so easily ok with girl like me helping them out.

Amy was excited about our new life. We talk about everything at night. I learn I'll be in little room to myself this trip. Red See's me as a daughter. He talked about her all the time haven't seen her myself. Until we were on the ship. I noticed little redhead girl about five years old. Running around hidden behind things. She was almost perfect. Only thing was Amy and I were only ones who could see her. Hi I'm Nicky. My daddy talks about you all the time. I wish he could see I'm ok. And still here waiting for him. Could you tell him his red bumble bee says hello, I love him to the moon. Of course I realized I never told them or anyone around town I can see ghosts. Amy of course was excited to have someone keep her busy why I worked. Nicky actually help me cook one of her favorite meals. Her daddy showed her how to make. It was that night I reviled my secret to Red himself. He asked me where I learned how to cook that meal. So I explained that Nicky was still with him. That I understand why I never seen her before now. Sorry for his lose. At first he thought I was nuts. But once I told him a story only he and Nicky knew. He was relaxed little more. Then I explained how I was kidnapped by guy then I was six took across the ocean sold into slavery. How I got away. Kept low profile so wouldn't be found. Thanking him for my way home. I to wish to hug my daddy some day again. I'm all so glad they are going to help with my first change as a wolf. I'm so excited to finally meet her. As days get closer I can feel her more and more. Some days it's motion sickness.

Month passed I'm starting get use to ocean waves. Amy and Nicky like to move things on the boat. I'm excited my eighteenth birthday is two weeks away. Everyone else is excited for me too. Few younger guys are kinda hoping I'm their mate. I am happy with not finding my mate anytime soon.

once we found land we all decided it was probably safer to stay put for tomorrow nights full moon and my birthday. Island week from main land. But our wolf's could run and be free for a night here. I could see the excited faces in the younger men. It's been awhile since they got dirt under their paws. once camp was set up Amy Nicky and I decided to walk around before dark get little idea of what's in-store for tomorrow night.

Seems like a perfect place to start a new journey with my wolf. We have come so far on our own. Amy was watching me as I picked through the rocks along the sand. I see sadness fall over her. On our way back to camp. we found seashells. I put them in my pocket to make necklaces out of them later on boat. As I picking shell up I heard Toby's voice calling out to me. his few years older then me. I look up he is just standing few feet away. Beautiful sunset on beach huh?. As I look off over the ocean at sky. Yes, Toby it is. he smiles ear to ear. As Amy laughed. I think Toby hoping your his mate. Looking back at him. He isn't a bad looking guy. Sweet as can be. reddish blonde hair and green eyes. about six foot two inches.

But it was them bule eyes that hunt my dreams. I for some reason hoped to find one day. As we sit and talk on beach watching sun disappear over waves. I could see why Amy said that. He was so happy I spent this time with him. Getting to know each other. On the ship don't really have time to talk. Both are so busy getting everything done. Trying make as much money for when we get to main land. I would love have enough to travel a bit in land before having fine work.

Once on our way back to camp.Toby surprised us all. As I turn around to say good night. Our lips met. It was weird and amazing all at same time. Like he wasn't a bad kisser. But I don't feel anything more then to friends kissing. I was also shocked he had coconuts to do it. Once our eyes locked his face was as red as his hair. In return made me laugh. As Toby started to apologize for the kiss. I smiled at him, and said don't worry about it. I'm just not ready for relationship with anyone right now. And we won't know until tomorrow if we are mates.
