Chapter 2

Piercing, soulful  hazel green eyes, so intense, so mysterious and deep. Those eyes… they seemed to have been calling my name, pulling me in. I couldn’t take my eyes off of them. Those deep green pools had me in a trance. They seemed to be willing me to bare my soul, to bare my all and give myself to him. They were the kind of eyes that strip you of all resistance and inhibitions.

His eyes regarded me and for the first time in my life, I felt that someone really saw me. I felt as though he really saw, the real me. He seemed to be staring int my soul. I don’t even know how long he had me in this trance, but to me, it felt like a life time. Certainly long enough for me to lose myself and feel faint due to lack of Oxigen. That whole time my lungs decided to also take their time appreciating the fact that we were sharing air what can only be described as the love child if Aphrodite and Adonis. Perfection personified.

‘Lexi I presume?” He spoke, all I could do was stare into the glistening  green pool that snared me.

I’ve never heard my name sound so beautiful. My name rolled off his tongue as if it were made just for his lips.

I could not  speak. I tried to open my mouth but I could not get any words out, all I could do was nod sluggishly.

Before I knew it, he was over me, his hand on mine and controlling the mouse. His touch snapped me out of my daze. I felt what must have been a million sparks shoot through my hand, making their way throughout my entire body sending my body into a buzz. It was as if my whole body was vibrating.

Thankfully Mika finally walked in

“All set?” asked Mika 

“Sure buddy, let’s get started “replied the creature 

He started rambling on with Mika, totally ignoring me.

Not even a  thank you, nothing!

All I could do was just walk out. 

I know I like to fade into the background, but that was just rude. He is a total ass.
