I was glad to have him rescue me, but his question baffled me to no end. What did he mean by asking who they were?
Didn’t Alpha Horres know his own pack members? Or, could these people have been new recruits who were acting on their own?
After all, rogues joined successful packs every day. All they had to do was to accept the alpha as their leader, and everything else would fall in place.
“Are you responding to the alpha or not?” Beta Oxley’s growl shook me where I stood, and I could only wonder how the alpha’s full aura would be if his beta was already this strong.
