Location: International conference center, Abuja
Time: 9:30pm
[At the Ball night. The last event of Siyam's wedding, everyone looking lovely in suits and night gowns]
Nihal:- sis Nal this setup is so lovely. The event planners really tried
Sinal:- yeah! Yesterday's dinner's setup was my favorite. I just love it! I even thought the event planners were from Lebanon, you know they got the best wedding planners
Nihal:- No it's "Bluevelvet" and I heard they are the number one event planners in Nigeria
Sinal:- I believe that because Siyam's events were spectacular
Nihal:- Don't worry they will surely plan your wedding
Sinal:- lol, and if yours come first they shall also plan yours.
Nihal:-hahahahaha! don't hope so sis
Sinal:- well as mum said, it's all about time!
[Nihal turned and looked at the stage where the couple were sitting]
Nihal:- oh! Oh! Oh! My God! Sis Nal! Sis Nal! (She stammered) sis Nal hold my hands!
Sinal:- what? What is wrong?
Nihal:- look!
Sinal:- look what? Are you alright?
Nihal:- look at the stage! [she pointed]
Sinal:- [looked at where the couple were sitting and then someone was taking selfies with them] Oh my God! It's Mubar! I can't believe this!
Nihal:- Neither can I. Wait I will go talk to him
Sinal:- No don't !
Nihal:- why ?
Sinal:- how can this guy be here? So he knew he was also coming for Siyam's wedding and he didn't say a word about that? Maybe he decided we shouldn't talk to each other, so why should we talk to him?
Nihal:- Alright as you said!
Minutes later............
[Mubar approaches the table where Sinal and Nihal were sitting]
Nihal:- Sis Nal look he's coming here
Sinal:- pretend you didn't see him
[Mubar reached the two sisters]
Mubar:- Hey!
Sinal:- [looked at him from head to toe] hey! Sorry do I know you?
Mubar:- lol, Sinal I can explain
Sinal:- explain what? Do I know you?
Mubar:- [smiled and turned to Nihal] Nihal how're you?
Nihal:- wait! Do I know you? How did you even know my name? This is serious! And your face doesn't even look familiar
Mubar:- God! You too?
Sinal:- hey guy! Can you please not spoil our mood here?
Mubar:- it's okay! We talk after the event
Sinal:- it's okay! don't even mind!
Time;11:00pm
Mubar:- wait! Wait! Wait please
Sinal:- guy why? It's already late we've to go home!
Mubar:- Sinal let me at least explain
Nihal:- Sis Nal let him say what he have to
Sinal:- Go on, am listening
Mubar:- you see, I swear to God it was an unexpected journey, in fact I didn't even know it was Siyam's wedding that I will be attending until when I arrived here. The groom is the son of my dad's friend so Dad Insists that I should attend the wedding since am on break. I just arrived yesterday
Sinal:- But I've been trying your number two days before we left for Nigeria and it was not reachable, I texted you on w******p you were offline since then. In fact even when we're on the plane before the takeoff I texted you!
Mubar:- Ohh!! So sorry! When I left London I've to meet dad in Turkey for us to come here together. So I lost my phone in the process
Nihal:- how're we gonna be sure that all you said is true?
Mubar:- Nihal!!! Why would I lie to you? Beside I've explain to Siyam and the groom because I knew something like this can happen. You can confirm it from them
Sinal:- it's alright! I believe you
Mubar:- Thanks for understanding. So are you going back home now?
Sinal:- it's getting late and as you can see the driver is here already
Mubar:- When are you going back to UAE?
Sinal:- The day after Tomorrow
Mubar:- wow! So soon! Well is it possible for us to meet tomorrow?
Sinal:- I will see if it is possible then I will text you the venue and time. Oh! I don't even have your Nigerian number
Mubar:- here it is[ he collected her phone and gave her his contact]
Location: Maitama district,Abuja
Time; 2:30pm
Sinal:- Hal we will be meeting with Mubar at City Park by 4pm, so be prepared please
Nihal:- oh! Sorry I can't go with you. I've promised Sara that I will visit her whenever am in Nigeria. Sara that my high school friend, can you remember her? And I've already called her that I will be coming
Sinal:- okay it's alright! So then we go out together. The driver will drop me and then take you to Sara's place and when you're done you come pick me up. Am sure am done by then too
Nihal:- Okay
Location; City park. Wuse zone2, Abuja
Time; 4:20pm
Sinal:- Hal please don't take much time, you know I can't stay here for long!
Nihal:- hahahaaha! Even when the prince is around ?
Sinal:-lol, please am serious here! Okay?
Nihal:- it's alright! By the way where is he?
[Sinal called Mubar and told him she's at the park already]
Nihal:- oh! Yea! He's here!
Sinal:- Over here! [she wined down the car glass and waved at him]
Mubar:-[rushed and opened the door for Sinal] hey! Sorry I just went to the other side to get something
Sinal:- it's Alright [she stepped out of the car]
Mubar:- Nihal you not coming with us?
Nihal:- Actually I've somewhere to go. So see you later
Mubar:- Alright Take care!
[Nihal left with the driver. Mubar and Sinal walked down the park]
Mubar:- hey, you look beautiful
Sinal:- you've started hun?
Mubar:- lol, am serious you look so lovely!
Sinal:- hmmm! Thanks! And by the way I like your blazer
Mubar:- ohhh! Stop that! This ugly old blazer of mine. I just have to wear this because I left my clothes in UK
Sinal:- hey guy! Am serious it's so lovely!
Mubar:- hahahah thanks dear
Sinal:- and your perfume!
Mubar:- O God! Sinal it's just a normal Oud
Sinal:- hahahahha I know. I love it!
Mubar:- Thank you! So can we go to the back side? There a lot of seats over there
Sinal:- okay, but am not in the mood of sitting so can we just go around the park? Beside I even miss this place
Mubar:- it's fine let's move
[Mubar and Sinal going around the park chatting and sharing jokes which makes them laugh]
Sinal:- Am kind of tired, we've been walking for like forty minutes now! So let's find a place and rest
Mubar:- hahahah! I thought you said you don't wanna sit, that you wanna go around the park
Sinal:- excuse me, we've done that for a while
Mubar:- It's alright! Let's go to the trees side. There a lot of seats there
[They went to the trees side and sat on one of the garden chairs]
Mubar:- Just a minute! Am coming [he stood up quickly]
Sinal:- where are you going?
Mubar:- Not far! Just wait here
[After some time Mubar came back with some snacks and drinks ]
Sinal:- you said 'a minute ' and this is 2 minutes forty seconds
Mubar:- hahahahaa! So You've been counting.
Sinal:- My respect for time!
Mubar:- I see! I just went to get some snacks and drinks I know you must be hungry anyway
Sinal:- And who told you to do that? I ate before coming here
Mubar:- lol, it's just snacks anyway
[They ate the snacks and continued to chart]
Mubar:- So Sinal you're in your third year now and you are still single, right?
Sinal:- yes of course! As mum said "it's a matter of time"
Mubar:- oh! Oh! That's too bad!
Sinal:- Not that bad! But why?
Mubar:- Nothing! But let me ask you. Have you ever been in love?
Sinal:- In love? I don't think so! And you?
Mubar:- oh! Really? Well, for me there is this beautiful girl I felt for but she still refers to me as her brother and I don't know how to say it to her. I also refer to her as my sister before but seeing how people think of us, I don't know what happened! I felt for her!
Sinal:- hahahahah that's too bad! Well actually we have a similar case. There is this guy I kind of like but he's like a brother to me. I don't know how to approach him and I shouldn't do that! Am a lady! Beside we don't even stay in the same place anyway.
[Mubar stood up,turned back and kept smiling for about a minute]
Sinal:- hey guy! Why? What's wrong?
Mubar:- Give me your hand.
Sinal:- what? Why?
Mubar:- just give me your hand
[Sinal gave her left hand to Mubar. He squeezed her fingers ]
Sinal:- ouch!! It hurts! [She quickly stood up]
Mubar:- yes you deserve it! So you'd crush on me and you didn't tell me?
Sinal:- What? Who had crush on you?
Mubar:- You of course ! You just said it in your explanations!
Sinal:- oh really? [She punched him on the arm] you too!!! So you're in love with me for long and you never said a word!
Mubar:- Who?
Sinal:- You!
Mubar:- No! Not me!
Sinal:- yes you of course!
Mubar:- okay! I love you! (He shouted)
Sinal:- okay I love you too! (She shouted back and ran away)
Mubar:- (Laughed , ran and followed her) Wait!
[Mubar and Sinal went around the park chatting, teasing, playing and cherishing one another ]
Sinal:-[Sat on the ground ] am tired and it's getting late. It's Almost 6:30pm. Where the heck is Hal?
Mubar:- Don't worry I know I know she will be here soon! Maybe she was stuck in traffic.(he sat) It's kind of cold here because of the trees and you're putting on an armless gown.
Sinal:- yeah
Mubar:- [Took off his blazer and use it to cover Sinal while she rest her head on his shoulder] This is the happiest day of my life. I wish Momma is here to see this.
Sinal:- what did you say?
Mubar:- Nothing! I was just talking to myself
Sinal:- hahahah! Stop it! I've heard that!
[Nihal came into the park, looked around and then saw them sitting in an affectionate mood on the grass with Sinal's head still on Mubar's shoulder and his blazer used to cover her arm]
Nihal:- [stare at them for like three minutes] hey!!! Sis Nal! It's getting late let's go home. We need to leave for airport early morning tomorrow?
Sinal:- Oh girl! I've been waiting for you since. What took you so long? [They stood up and walked towards the car park]
Mubar:- [Holding Sinal's hand] it's painful that we are not gonna see each other for long. But anyway my graduation is in three months' time I might be in UAE before then or after the graduation
Sinal:- oh really? I will be so glad
Mubar:- O My God! I almost forgot! Please wait for me in the car I won't take long I just need to get something from my car
Sinal:- okay(she reached Nihal, they entered the car and waited for Mubar)
Mubar:- (Came back and met them) Sinal can I see you for some seconds?
[Sinal stepped out of the car]
Mubar:- have this [he gave her a small kit] my mum gave me this some months back. She said I should give it to the first girl that says yes to me. So you can have it!
Sinal:- Thank you so much
Mubar:- never mind. Take care!
Sinal:- [entered the car] bye!
Mubar:- Bye dear! Bye Nihal! And safe flight!
Nihal:- Thanks bye!
