Esme's POV
A sudden chill ran down my spine and I almost found myself shivering. I thought I had completely escaped his clutches but it seems Alpha Edgar isn't ready to let me go yet. He still sent people to try to kill me.
Even though I shouldn't be surprised as he's just as dangerous as Ethan and more so capable of anything, I find myself puzzled. What does he stand to gain from my death?
I'm starting to be thankful that I did return to this Pack. Ethan will protect me from that monster.
