Esme's POV
It had been over a week since I woke up. I suffered second degree burns in different parts of my body, my back was mostly affected but they've all healed completely. My ability to heal really quickly stunned the doctor and she said not to worry about the scars because they would smoothen over time. She also provided an ointment made with a rare herb which would help with the discoloration.
When I saw the scars in the mirror, it was a big blow to my self esteem. Despite the fact that I was lucky enough that my face was unharmed, I felt ugly because of the way my body looked but Ethan talked me out of it, stating that he didn't care about the scars.
