Chapter 3: Meeting The Alpha

Rav's POV

After breakfast max went back to her room to finish the book she was reading, Toa also got her some paints because she would paint when she had free time. As I was in my office, Dwayne and vampire/witch Hybrid would annouce that Dustan had arrived. "go ahead and excort him to my office" I said and dwayne nodded, leaving as Toa walked in. "Files from when Dustan was researching about max" Toa said and I looked at the file and would close my eyes. "that file was closed, I wonder how he got ahold of it" I asked myself and soon saw Dustan walk in and his eyes were already glowing a yellowed showing his wolf was close to coming out. "Where is my mate?" I asked Rav staring her down. "First of all that Alpha stare dont work on me, second your not gonna demand anything from me. Third your gonna get to know her before springing everything on her. I will not have her heart hurt again." I said to Dustan, who was not happy

Dustan's POV 

'What?!' I thought about what Rav just told me. "Shes is my mate, you cant keep her from me." I said. "Actually she can, you see if the mate of a werewolf is human, then the guardian of said human can determine if the werewolf is worthy to care for his/her mate. If not then the guardian has all right to keep the mate away from the wolf until deemed worthy" Toa said and I growled, it was a law passed by my great grand father, who saw many human with wolf mates leaving them to pick their own mate, but most didnt. I growled at the statement made. "Does she even know about our world? of the supernatural world?" I asked. "In books and tales she had read. We just let her know last night at dinner that we were a pack of all and she didnt have a problem. But I dont to give her to much information that she faints on the spot" Rav said to me and I would think about it when I smelled her. I turned to the door and saw her poke her head in, her hair now down straight framing her wonderful beautiful face. "Hey rav, toa do you know... Oh I didnt know you were having a meeting. I can come back later" She said. "Actually max I was about to call you, this is Dustan. A partner of mine that i work with from time to time. He will be staying with us for while." Rav said. "Oh ok, im taking the kids to the park so the parents can have break" Max said. ' she would be a great mother to the pups' jet said in my mind but I blocked him out. 

Max's POV

"This is Dustan, someone I work with from time to time" Rav said to me. "You dont have to take the kids, we have babysitters." Toa said "they are cooking dinner for tonight and I dont mind, I have to pull my weight around here somehow since you both wont let me pay rent" I said and Rav shook her head. "alright fine, but be back before dark" rav said and a older child came over and hugged Rav, who hugged back. Then the child froze seeing Dustan. Rav rubbed his back and I walked over to him. "I dont think hes looks all that mean, maybe we should get to know him while he is here." I said and the boy nodded his head and grabbed my hand.  As I walked out the office I gave rav and toa a hug, then walked over to Dustan and shook his hand "I hope that you enjoy your stay and I hope we get to know each other while you are here" I said and would walk out shutting the door behind me. 'What was that I just felt, tingles up my arm and like Ive known this man my whole life? Maybe Rav can explain it to me later on while hes here. I feel a connection to him but why? I guess Dustan, you and I will get to know each other because I want to know why you make me feel this way' I thought and went to the park with the kids.
