Shay's POV
I drove into the school parking lot and right when I was about to head into a space, a pink car came speeding and parked in the spot. A tall blonde got out of the car and smirked at me before turning around and walking into the school. Of course, it would be a blonde to give the worst first impression. After finding another parking space, I grabbed my bag and headed into school. This school was huge. It looked like an ordinary school building but much bigger. It was a three-story brown building. The walls were lined with lockers with a few classrooms in between. Right in the front there was a trophy case full of trophies and photos of students. I asked for directions to the main office since that is where I was supposed to get my schedule and meet my tour guide. I wonder where my mom was. She said she would meet me on the first day.
"Move it munchkin," I heard right before I was shoved into the office. I turned around and, of course, it had to be the blonde Barbie from the pink car. I was a quiet girl, but in no way was I ever a pushover. I knew that getting into any kind of altercation on the first day wouldn't be good, but this is the second time she's pissed me off.
"How about you learn some manners." I stared her down.
"This must be your first day," she said, turning around. "So let me go slowly for you. I am the queen of this school. When you see me, you move out of my way!"
Before she could continue, I cut her off. "When you see me, you show some respect. I don't care who you are. The next time you touch me, you'll have a serious problem." I stepped closer to her.
"Ladies, ladies, you both need to calm down or it's detention for you both." I turned to see where the voice came from. There was a very handsome, very tall man standing there. He had to be well over 6 feet. He had the brightest blue eyes, dark brown hair and tanned skin.
"I'm so sorry Mr. Jensen," the blonde said. "I was just coming in here to get some changes made to my schedule, when this girl started yelling at me." She put on the fakest sweet voice. I couldn't believe the audacity.
Before I could say my piece, the man who I now know is Mr. Jensen responded to her. "Ivy, you don't need any changes to your schedule. Please go to first period." She walked out with a pout but not before looking at me and rolling her eyes.
"You must be our new student, Shay Anderson." He looked at me and smiled. "Don't pay too much attention to Ivy, she can be a bit...dramatic."
'Yes, I'm Shay." I smiled back. "I came to get my schedule and meet my tour guide."
"Well, I'm the principal, Mr. Jensen. You can have a seat here. Give me a few minutes and I'll be right with you."
I sat nervously in the waiting area for Mr. Jenson to call me. I watched as students and teachers came in and out of the office and I heard morning announcements.
"Shay, you can come in now," Mr. Jenson called me.
I stood up and walked over to his office. I didn't know whether my mom was there waiting for me or not. I didn't know what to expect. I walked into the office but there was no one there. I took a seat as Mr. Jenson began to speak.
"Before your tour of the school, I just wanted to sit and talk with you for a moment," he started. I understand that before you came here, you had no knowledge of being a wolf."
I didn't know if that was a statement or a question, so I stayed silent and nodded my head.
"As you know, our school has both human and wolf students. You are not to disclose to humans our existence."
"How am I supposed to know who is human and who is a wolf?"
"You will learn to differentiate by scent. For now, just don't mention anything wolf related unless you know for sure. Your tour guide, Luna Denise, will be here shortly to help you get settled. She goes by Ms. Denise while at school."
Denise is my mother's name. Could my mother be my tour guide?
