Chapter 4

Ella's POV

I showed a list of universities to Adriane and told her that there are a number of specializations available for Psychology here. Her eyes lit on the wide opportunity she has to pursue her course, which I find cute. She moved a bit closer to look at my laptop screen, her bare shoulders touching mine and I feel her toned arms rubbing against mine while she's typing on my laptop. I felt blood rush up my face, I tried so hard to control myself that I did not pay attention to what Adriane is saying.

"Ella?" her face turned towards me. "Huh?" is all I can say. "Is this the university where you graduated?" she asked pointing at my laptop. "Uh, yes. I still have the admin's contact number here if you like." I handed the business card to her. "Thanks, I'll give them a call first thing in the morning" she replied excitedly.

"Can I also have your number?" she blurted out, which made me blush. "For..uh.. in case I have questions when I fill out the application online" she continued. "Yeah, sure." I answered and gave her my business card.

After an hour or so, I bid goodbye to Andrea, Adriane and Lyle. "Bye, Eya" Lyle said, he still can't say my name properly which is adorable. "Bye Lyle, see you again." I hugged him and got in to my car. I know it's Friday and my mom told me to go somewhere but I have reports I need to finish so I just headed back home.

"I knew you wouldn't listen to me." my mom shouted as soon as I opened the front door. "Hi mom", I replied as I kissed her. "Well I'm going out with your aunts, we'll go to the new casino in Downtown." she said. "Go ahead, have fun." I answered. Geez! my mom has a more interesting Friday night than me, am I that boring?

I went over my desk and drowned myself on paperworks. I looked at the clock and it's almost 12:30AM and my mom's still not home yet. I got up and looked at my phone, I have one unread text message. My heart beat went fast, I don't know why but I'm hoping it's Adriane.

I opened the message and it's from... Andrea.

"Hi Ella, just want to know if you'll be available on the third week next month for the session? Thanks - Andrea"

I replied back to confirm. It's only second week of this month, that means it will be over a month before I see Adriane again..I mean Lyle.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
