Chapter 26“You think we brought enough food?” Gabe asked legitimately worried, while he was scavenging through the supply bag. “We’ll restock along the way. Eat what you want.” Mike said and laughed, then took a brief look back at the rearview mirror and refocused his attention on the road ahead. The Versailles was flying over the asphalt, driven by its three-hundred-and-two cubic inch chamber filled with controlled explosions which was screaming under the hood. They were about seven hundred miles from Albuquerque and Mike was determined to cross that distance in a single day. It seemed that the Versailles had no objections to that plan.
