Chapter 10Wilhelmina "Billie" Briar was cruising in her green Charger through the plain and beautiful scenery of Wisconsin and Iowa, listening to her favorite songs on the radio and enjoying the tasty treats which her mother had packed for her trip. She savored vast pastures filled with placid cows and farmers working their fields. However, tractors, cars, all these big machines… they didn’t have the same charm to them as a group of people using nothing but their own strong hands and simple tools to secure their existence. Technology and progress were indubitably great things in her mind, but nothing could replace her appreciation of and affection toward nature.
