Chloe paid rapt attention during class.she believed the only way she could free herself from the clutches of her parents and the world is by becoming independent and she was working towards that.

The bell rang for lunch break and she made her way to the school's cafeteria,she never liked eating at the school's cafeteria. so after ordering,She took her food to the rooftop.that was where she usually ate her lunch.

Alex arrived at the school's cafeteria and immediately grabbed the attention of everybody present.

the girl stared at him with love-filled eyes as they wished desperately to attract his attention,but his eyes only focused on the girl who departed from the cafeteria with food in her hands.then he decided to follow her.

Chloe arrived at the rooftop and squatted to eat her food when she heard footsteps approaching her.she looked up to see who it was then a sweet voice said"hello,sister".

rose stood in front of chloe and flashed her a sweet smile as she greeted her but chloe gave no reply instead she seemed indifferent to her sister's arrival.

Rose stared at chloe who sat on the floor saying nothing but was just staring at her food as if she couldn't care less about her presence.she gritted her teeth in anger and jealousy.

yes that's right jealousy.

since childhood rose has always hated chloe and was jealous of her.the fact that chloe was more beautiful than her made her despise chloe even more.she considered chloe as a competition.

she might be known as the smarter and kindest among the two of them,but that was only because she copied Chloe's work and wrote them as her own.

The real smart one was chloe!

she initially felt bad about it and informed her parents about what she had done but they told her it was not her fault and even encouraged her.t therefore she naturally developed hatred towards chloe and tried her best to outwit her in everything and shatter her confidence.she thought she had succeeded when chloe started to behave cowardly and timidly.After that,surprisingly in every test they both took together,rose always surpassed her.

"can I have lunch with you?"rose asked seeming polite.

her light brown eyes stared at rose before she answered "No!"

"oh!...."rose looked disappointed and she said"goodbye then "as she pretended to hold back her tears from falling,she walked away.

immediately rose left chloe murmured to herself"scheming b***h!,I wonder what she's planning now".then she picked up her cutlery and began to eat without a care in the world.

Alex stared at the girl who practically buried her head in her food and chuckled.

"it seems like that rose smith is not as innocent as she projects herself to be "he thought to himself.it seems her life is more complicated than he thought it was.he had to dig into this.then he left the scene without knowing that he had been abnormally concerned about every single thing related to chloe,which was quite rare.

Even when he left the scene,he couldn't stop thinking about her.
