The walls of Horomir
Aaron and his companions followed the knights up the winding path leading upwards. Horomir was situated atop a hill. This strategic location made the walled city difficult to breach and gave the guards the upper hand during sieges. A 15 minute trek up the hill brought them to the city gates. The thick stone walls of the city were over 25 feet tall and could easily withstand blows which would shatter wooden palisade blocks. On the battlements above, the king’s elite archers stood ready with their bows. Two stone towers peaked over the wall, looking down on the forest below.
