"Then, prepare everything I need and I will go tonight," Shantala said as if it was the easiest and most obvious solution. "We are not even sure if he will keep his word if we adhere to his conditions so we better yet move first. And it's not really necessary for you to be there tonight."
Her last statement somehow ticked him off so he glared at her. Seeing her mischievous grin forming on her lips, he immediately knew that she was once again trying to push him over the edge.
She even added, "I mean, I know you want to look like her knight-in-shining-armor and all but you know, this isn't really the time for that. So, I will be heading there tonight and coming back with Stacey as soon as possible. All you have to do is to wait here patiently. Got it?"
