The girl pulled away from his lips and stood there smiling at him. Wyatt took a small step back and studied the girl. What was going on? He turned and looked at Jason who had menacing eyes on her. Something was rippling through him. He felt a warmth ignite inside of him.               Hello… Wyatt. Jin smiled as she watched Wyatt's face.               Wyatt looked at the girl shocked. Her voice had just rung in his head. “What did you do? How were you able to mind link with me?”               The girl giggled. “You are not at all like I imagined.” She smiled as she looked up at him. “I have given you a gift Wyatt. I am the one who controls the element of air. Just as your mother controls fire and your sister controls water. You now control air. I am not like a deity though. I am not your summon Wyatt. I am your partner.”               “I can control the wind now?!” Wyatt raised his eyes. He connected with the new warmth inside of him and twirled his fingers around feeling the wind obey him. “This is amazing.”               “Time out, demon. One, why would a demon be his partner? Why would you gift him? And when you say partner what do you mean exactly?” Jason continued to glare at the girl with distrust.                Fujin laughed. “Grumpy Bear, you are very protective, aren’t you?” Wyatt chuckled and looked at Jason and shrugged.               “I think Grumpy Bear fits.” Wyatt smirked over at Jason.               “First misconception, not all demons are evil. A dark fairy is just a dark fairy, but that doesn’t mean they are evil right? The demons are divided. I am against this demon war. I have chosen to fight on the side of balance. I am working with the other deities who are trying to restore balance, like your family's summons. I agreed to gift Wyatt the gift of air. And when I said partner, I mean partner. Like what you two are. I will always be by Wyatts side now. Just how the deities who gifted your mother and sister are connected. I am also connected to Wyatt.” Fujin looked over at Wyatt. “You can feel me inside of you, can’t you? You can also mind link to me now.”               Wyatt nodded his head.               “So why did you kiss him?” Jason still wasn’t trusting this small creature.               Fujin giggled. “Grumpy Bear are you jealous?” She raised her hand and covered her mouth as she laughed. “That wasn’t a kiss. Well not technically. That was me gifting him the air element.” Her green eyes shined with laughter as she looked into Jason's rich dark eyes.               Wyatt studied the small girl in front of them. She was not like any demon he had ever met before. She was so different. So lively and happy. And maybe it was dumb of him, but he trusted her. Just how his mother and sister trusted the ones who gave them elemental powers. She did not give him a bad vibe at all. Actually, it was quite the opposite. She gave him this feeling of warmth. And for the first time since he was rejected, he started to feel whole again.               “I take it that means you are moving into the Diamond pack?” Wyatt asked in minor amusement.               “That is the plan. If that is going to be okay?” Fujin bit her bottom lip and dug her toe in the dirt.               Wyatt smiled as he regarded her. Behind her smile and bright eyes, she also seemed like she was sad. That was the only other thing he could sense about her. There was nothing about her that screamed evil or dangerous.               “I think that seems like a good idea too. Especially if we are partners now. Is this a for life thing or just for now?” Wyatt asked as he listened to the small grumble from Jason.               Fujin looked over at Jason with a small frown. She could see that he didn’t want her around. Her eyes flashed back over to Wyatt before she let anymore sadness show and put on her exterior smile. “Of course it is for life. This is how it works. Sorry I’m not a deity. I know this would have been more acceptable. I can’t help who I am though.” Her voice trailed off quietly.               “I can’t help who I am either.” Wyatt shrugged and grinned at her. He was an Alpha who wasn’t all werewolf. He was accepted though for the person he is, so why shouldn’t she get that same chance? “So Fujin-”               “You can call me Jin.”               Wyatt nodded. “Jin, welcome to the Diamond pack.”               Jason growled lowly. “Wyatt, are you sure this is a good idea. Given the circumstances, how do we know we can trust her.”               Wyatt chuckled and then gave Jason a side look with his eyes raised. “Jase, come on bro. I’m connected to her now. I can feel who she is. You trusted Levi when he showed up. She is the same to me that Levi is to Rhea. Give her a chance.” He nudged his elbow into his brother.               “Fine.” Jason turned and his icy glare set on Jin.  “Look Wyatt is, well he is my most important person. I can’t just trust you blindly. His safety it too important.”               “Then we agree.” Jin smiled. “Wyatt’s safety is my top priority.”               Wyatt’s brows furrowed. “I don’t really understand though Jin. How did you know about me? Why did you decide to gift me with the air element?”               “There is a war coming. Of course, you are aware of this. This war is an imbalance. Demons can’t disturb the balance by taking over. There are great forces at work here. The yin and yang of the world. Those who keep balance. I am on the side of yin, the dark priestess.” Jin sighed and met her gaze with Wyatt. “Just how the deities have chosen to gift their elements I also have chosen. Your family is the chosen family. The family that was chosen to restore balance. I’m afraid I don’t know more details then that. I just knew who you were and where to find you.”               “This demon war is more than just protecting the fairies then. I had a feeling it was much bigger. This war is meant to happen to restore the balance. I guess I can get behind that.” Wyatt figured if this war was going to happen anyways it was nice to hear there was more at stake. They were battling for balance.               “Tell me about yourself Jin. Where is your family?” Wyatt asked casually but immediately regretted what he said. He saw the shine fade from her eyes and her smile vanished. Her green eyes looked down as her head dropped slightly. Then she pulled her head up with a large smile on her face.               “Mmmm there isn’t anything important to tell.” Her fake smile plastered on her face to hide her pain.               “Really? Nothing to tell? You just appear out of nowhere with no past history? What about others? Who have you been with all this time? What about your friends?” Jason, who couldn’t take a hint because of his dislike, spoke out bluntly with a low irritated voice.               Wyatt watched Jinn as her lips pursed together. “We don’t have to talk about all this stuff now. Do you have any belongings with you?”               Jin giggled and held out her hands. “Just me and what I am wearing.”               “Well then I guess you are easy to move in.” Wyatt chuckled. “We will take you out to get some things.”               “Oh no you don’t have to do that.” Jin shook her hands in protest.               “Nonsense. It’s the least I can do for this new awesome gift you gave me.” Wyatt twirled the air around making the grass bend around.               “Thank you.” Her voice was quiet, and she looked down to hide the tears forming in her eyes. She cleared her throat. “We will practice daily and get you better acquainted with your element. Soon you will have it mastered.”                         Wyatt wasn’t sure what Jin was hiding but it was obvious to him there was sadness in her life. He felt like he could connect with her there. She reminded him of his sister Rhea. She always put on a brave face and tried to hide her pain. She never wanted others to worry about her, but he could always tell. She was horrible at keeping secrets. “It’s starting to get dark. How about we head back? Are you hungry? I think I spotted some chocolate cake back at the house.” Wyatt watched the girl immediately perk up.               “Chocolate cake?!” She bounced over to him and clasped onto his arm. “Let’s go.” Jin cheered.               Wyatt chuckled. This girl was adorable. She was not dangerous. “Come on then.” Wyatt led her back towards the Diamond pack while Jason followed closely. His eyes gazed over the girl in deep suspicion. He didn’t like her secrets. There was something off about her and he was going to figure out what it was.               Wyatt pushed open the pack doors and several sets of eyes shot up from the table. Renee was sitting on Sam’s lap across the table from Winston, Adam and Susan. Susan’s eyes locked on the girl holding onto Wyatt’s arm and her eyes darkened. Wyatt felt Jin’s hand tighten on his arm and he couldn’t be sure, but he thought he felt a mild tremble. He took his arm away from her hand and then swung it around her shoulders. He gave her a reassuring smile and led her into the house.               “Everyone I would like for you to meet Fujin, Jin for short. She will be living with us from here on out.” Wyatt said.               “Is she your mate?” Winston blurted out as he eyed the girl up.               Wyatt coughed on his spit and shook his head at Winston. “Umm, not exactly. But she is someone important to me. She is my partner.” Wyatt smiled down at Jin as he used the same word that she used to describe their relationship.               “Look all I need to know is if she is off limits or not.” Winston's lips curled up as he more openly looked the girl over.               Wyatt sighed. “Sorry about him. He really is harmless. I promise. All these people you see in front of you right now are people I trust with my life. You can trust them too.” Jin’s eyes glanced up to his and she gave him a soft smile.               Sam stood up with Renee and the two of them walked over to greet Jin. “If you are important to Wyatt then you are important to us. I’m Sam and this is Renee. You can come to us for anything.”               Jin regarded the two of them and then looked over the others in the room. They all looked very warm and nice. All of them except for one. The girl with the blonde hair had an unwelcoming gaze on her. And then the large grumpy bear to her side also was giving her ice daggers.               “Renee see if you or Susan here has any clothes that will fit her. Just until I can buy new clothes for her.” Wyatt looked between the two girls. He caught the look from Susan and he immediately fixated on her. He raised an eye unsure why she would be looking at Jin that way. He watched her straighten up and then nod. She wiped the disdainful look from her face. “Anyways, is there any cake left? I promised Jin a slice.”               “Yes, there is.” Adam said walking into the kitchen. He lifted up a large chocolate frosted cake. “Who’s hungry?” He beamed as he took another step forward though he tripped, and the cake went flying forward. They all watched as the cake suddenly stopped. It floated in the air.               Jin giggled. “Thank goodness. That would have been such a waste.” She motioned her hand and the cake rested back in the tray on Adam’s hand.               “Nice save Jin! That’s the first thing you are teaching me.” Wyatt squeezed onto her shoulders.               “Wait. What was that?” Sam asked with an awe shocked grin.               “Jin here can control air. And now because of her I can too.” Wyatt grinned with pride.               “Oh, are you a summon like Suzaku and Leviathan?” Renee asked.               “Not quite like them.” Jin replied quietly.               “No, she is a wind demon.” Jason snorted and folded his arms.   -Disclaimer- This book rights are with Stary/ Dreame/ Ringdom/ Innovel.
