Chapter 6The world glimmered under a blanket of snow. Dawson slowly spun in a circle. It was like he’d ended up in a fairy tale, one with a castle and a handsome, if grumpy, prince. The castle, with its one tower, chapel, and keep had turned into something magical with almost a foot of snow clinging to its roof, windowsills, and arrow slots. The grey stones even seemed to take on new life in the crisp air. Grey clouds stretched out overhead, thin enough the sun peaked through. Snow squeaked under Broc’s heavy boots as he made his way over from where he’d been checking something or other. “It’s f*****g cold out here, and it smells like snow.
