Our Time

When the time comes

The sunlight was peeking through the curtains. I woke up and looked to my side. I notice Vincent was already up and gone. That is when I heard the shower running. I thought about going in to join him but apart of me decided to wait until he was done. I went to my phone to see if I got any messages and my sister had messaged me.

There was just a picture of her baking more dessert. I text her to not stress I am doing fine. I was so busy talking to her I didn’t notice Vincent had entered the room.

“Who you messaging?” he asked me. Scared me a little because I jumped.

“Um. My sister. She bakes when she is stressed out.” I responded. I showed him pictures. He looked at them and looked at me.

“They look wonderful. While she is at it. Maybe she can make our wedding cake.” He said playfully.

“Actually, that is not a bad idea. Just that she is head tracker. So, my father would need her.” I said to him. I Got up and headed for the bathroom. I took a quick shower and get ready for the day.

I walked out and Vincent was still sitting on the couch in the room next to the closet. He was watching the television. It just looks like security videos.

“Care to explain?” I asked him.

“I actually wanted to show you this first before we went to breakfast. It’s footage of the first gate and border. This is the second gate and border, and this is the outside of the castle and first two floors.” He said to me while flipping through the feed of videos.

“Does anyone else know for this?” I asked him.

“Everyone’s about the cameras. They just don’t know where they are located. Only head of security, head guards and well, ranked members. It was placed when we were attacked on the inside.” He said to me. “Never happened again. Let’s go down for breakfast.”

We walked downstairs to the third floor where everyone was already sitting at the dinning table waiting for breakfast. The head of the table must have been for Vincent. To his left was an empty sit. He pulled the seat out for me and helped me get settled. Next to me as Sage then Vivian and last Cecilia. Across from me was Ethan and next to him was Christian.

“Good morning! Any updates on last night Christian?” asked Vincent.

“Not at the table Vince! The table is to enjoy time with one another. Not Alpha business.” Sage complained.

Vincent laughed. Christian just started digging into his food. Ethan looked at Sage and said “Sage, it was actually important to know what is going on with the boarders.”

“It is important. We can discuss this matter after we have eaten breakfast in the Alpha’s office.” I stated to Ethan. Which he acknowledges. We finished up breakfast and the boys headed to the Alpha’s office. I went with the girls to the Luna’s office to see what was going on there. To my surprise Luna Elenora was already there but she was not sitting behind the desk, she was in front of the desk. Like she was waiting for someone.

“Welcome ladies! I assume breakfast was wonderful as usual.” Said Luna Elenora.

“Wonderful Luna!” Said Vivian.

“You can call me Aunt Elenora. I will be giving my title to Rosalie in about 2 months.” She says to Vivian.

“About that, what is going to happen? Are we just going to combine the packs and just have an Alpha and a Luna or are we going to have a king and queen again?” I asked.

“That is what I was going to ask you dear.” She responded.

I never put much thought into this. I mean we could just stay 2 packs and have a treaty of peace. Yet, becoming one pack sounds like a more ideal plan. I looked at her as she gestured for me to sit in the Luna’s chair.

“I just want to prepare you for the job of a Luna. You are more then ready to be an Alpha. Since that was your born role but here you will be the Luna.” She said to me.

That is right I was the rightful heir to my father’s pack. Here I am the daughter of an Alpha. I need to learn the role of a Luna.

“Can you help me with that Elenora?” I asked her.

She smiled brightly at me and nodded her head yes. She showed me the role of a Luna. All the party planning, housing, job duties in the pack and outside the pack house. We sit beside the Alpha and guide them through all the hard work, but we also carry a lot of the pack. We are the backbone of the pack while the Alpha is the head of the pack.

After a while I notice it was getting dark, I looked at the clock on the desk and it was already 9 pm. We just missed dinner. I wanted to rush Elenora, but a few omegas came in with 2 trays of food. Then the girls came back with food also. Must have been doing this all day because I saw the same omegas replace the tray we used for lunch.

“I think I have taught you everything you need to know about being a Luna.” Said Elenora.

“Thank God Rosalie is a fast learner!” Sage said while eating her dinner.

We all went out to the balcony for dinner, and I could see the lights of the city in the sky. It was an orange color in the night sky. Down below you can see the lights of all the little cottages, the walls of the barrier around the castle and more houses.

“Tomorrow is when you get to plan your very first event! Your wedding day!” Elenora said with much excitement.

“Don’t forget she also has to plan her Luna Ceremony!” Sage mention.

“Ah! It is up to her if she wants to have the Luna Ceremony at her reception or on a different day.” Elenora mentions to me.

I don’t know if I could really handle all of that in one day. I rather just do the wedding with the ceremony to combine our packs. I rather have our packs as one then 2 different packs. My mind was racing at the thoughts of combining the packs. Then Gia mention something.

‘Why not create 2 packs. Your central pack and an outer pack. You can have outer pack of warriors and center be where all the woman and children or weak stay. It would keep everyone safe.’

‘That is a great idea, Gia. It would help keep everyone together.’

‘It was Queen Rani’s idea at one point and time. She wanted Golden Moon and Silver Moon packs to act as guards, but things happened….’ Then Gia just closed herself to me. I didn’t mind it, but she seems to always do that when it gets interesting.

I was stuck in thought when I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder. Made me jump a little.

“It’s ok Rosalie. It’s just me” said Vincent then he sat down next to me and kissed my hand.

“Sorry, I was deep in thought.” I said to him. He looked at me and smiled.

“Penny for your thoughts.” He spoke.

“Well, I don’t know if you would agree. What if we created 2 new packs? An outer warrior pack called Lunar Moon Pack and the inner circle called The Full Moon Pack. That way we have an outer and inner pack if the first line of defense weakens, we still have woman and children safe on the inner pack that would be the strong hold.” I said to him.

“Sounds like the way we have things set up here at Silver Moon. Its just that we don’t have 2 packs and most of the people live where they want to live.” He told me.

“Sounds like it safer to have the guards posted going out in. If some families want to live outside of the first wall they can. But I think everyone can live inner circle and the post on the outside can be guards.” I said to him.

“Let’s plan on making a map for that so we know what we are doing, and we can present it to the rest of the family. Now, let’s head for bed.” I agreed and saw that everyone had already dismissed themselves and it was only me and Vincent. When did everyone leave?

We went to the bedroom and got ready for bed. I just couldn’t help thinking about what Gia said to me about Queen Rani. Maybe she can help me write up the map and plan for the new packs. Lost in my thoughts I slowly drifted to sleep.

“We have been quite busy.” Says an unfamiliar voice.

“What who is there!? How did you get in the room….?” I said opening my eyes. It was an unfamiliar place. It looks like a grand hall. There were white walls and marble flooring, a white and gold rug that ran down the middle of the floor and on each side of the rug were pillars. In between each pillar was a statue. At the end of the hall was a door and high windows.

I turned around to and saw 3 of the most beautiful mosaic windows. The center one was of a tree. I have seen this tree near the old ruins. To the right was the Crescent moon and the one on the left was of the sun.

“It was the most beautiful thing in this hall. I loved it. I am glad I took it with me when I left.” Said the voice.

I looked down and saw 2 royal chairs. They were white cushions and gold trimmings. Out of the corner of my eyes a beautiful lady walked out. She had a silver ball gown. The top was embedded with sliver threads creating a vine like designed. The bottom of the dress had the same design all the way around. She wore a silver necklace with diamond bracelets. With a beautiful crown.

“This was a beautiful place, now all everyone sees are ruins. The halls were grand, and I always told Leroy that there was too much going on. I wanted to settle for something smaller. So, he built us a small settlement on the outskirts of the city.” She said while looking at the window.

I was in shock, by the way she addresses the late King Leroy. She then turned and looked at me. And smiled, “I know what you are thinking. How can I call the King of Alphas by his name? It’s simple really. I am his other half, his mate and Luna. I am Queen Rani.”

How? She died centuries ago. How could she be standing in front of me. I still could not get a word out.

“It’s ok dear. I get it. I am not of your world, but I am also not able to ascend to the Moon either. I am still stuck to wonder the Ruins.” Then she looked at me with her beautiful silver eyes. “There is something you were meant to do. But it comes at a price. First I want to tell you what really happened that night we were murdered.”

I looked at this woman and said “I have seen the visions of your death. You were poisoned by King Leroy’s Brother, Anthony.”

“Sometimes these visions are just glimpse of the past. I need you to understand the full story.” She speaks. She then walked over to the center chair. She placed her hand on it then sat on the chair to the left.

“You see, I was an Alpha’s daughter. In particularly I was the Alpha King’s only child and Heir to my fathers thrown. He wanted to seize the power of the North. In order to do that they had to combine packs and have only one Kingdom. I was promised to the king of our neighboring kingdoms. I was shocked to find that he was my mate.” She spoke.

She then looked at the chair next to her and smiled. She reached out and held the arm of that chair. She closed her eyes and looked at me.

“When I first met Leroy, he was the Beta’s son. It was the Lunar Moon Festival. This was the first time I got to join in with all the other younglings for the festivities. That was when I saw Leroy. The scent of rain hit me, and I turned and spotted him staring me down from afar. The world stopped and I was in a trance. It was one of our best nights. The rest of that went by so fast. I felt like we had no time to truly slow down and enjoy it.” She said with sadness in her eyes.

“But that is not why you were summoned. My body is getting weaker, and the barrier is fading. Soon they will find my body and try to take the power of the sun.” She said but before she could finish, I interrupted her.

“What do you mean the power of the sun? I thought it was the power of the Moon?” I said to her.

She looked at me and smiled. “Do you not know who you are? I know Gia has not deprive you of that information.” She speaks.

Gia? How does she know Gia? I was confused buy that comment. What is she talking about Gia?

‘She was my person before you Rosalie. She is the reason I am with you.’

Shock was written all over my face. I looked at Queen Rani and the words I wanted to speak would not leave my mouth.

“I can tell she mention that I was her person in our previous life. I am dying and Gia could no longer stay with me. All these years Gia and Leo have kept me alive and hidden. The power of the sun keeps our human form. While the power of the moon keeps us hidden and our wolf sane. The day I was poisoned, I was given the official news that I was pregnant again. It would have been my 4th child. I was worried as it was. My other children had suddenly gotten ill, and I was trying to figure out what was happening. I had just gotten the results from blood work that Becky gave me. She was at the time she was helping out at the pack hospital.” She looked off to the stained window again.

“She was not only my best friend, but she was the Anthony’s destine mate. We did everything together. I always thought she would be happy when I was mated to Leroy. She had been mated to his brother. Everything seemed perfect. She betrayed me. She gave me false results that day. I found that out from the Pack Doctor. My children were poisoned. I told Leroy about the children. The doctor told us it has been going on for some time and they didn’t know if they could cure the children. I was afraid, we did not know who was doing this and where they were poisoned.” She stopped for a moment and looked at me.

She placed her hand on my face and smiled brightly. “Even though all my other children died. I was able to save one. The one I was carrying. Sadly, only three people knew we were having you. The Beta, the Beta’s wife and the Gemma. It hurt me to know that my best friend would betray me one day. It was her idea to keep watch with me. We drank tea and I felt weak. I thought it was because I was with child, but I was wrong. For a long time, we search for someone to take you in and give you a nice home. When your mother could not bear children, she plead to the Moon Goddess to help her. I felt her cry and gave her you. I gave her my last child.” Then she removed her hand from my face and when to take off a different necklace.

This was a necklace. There was a crest that look more like a locket. When you look at the locket it looks like vines, and they were twisting and turning. The locket was strung with a gold chain. She held it in her hand before showing it to me. She slowly went to open it and it started to glow. Once open there was a small Blue Diamond inside.

“This is the stone of the Moon and Sun. It represents the waters and the sky. It was given to me by the Moon Goddess herself. This holds the rest of the powers you need. The true person who killed my children was Becky. She was the only one who was evil enough to do so. She was jealous that I was chosen to be the Queen Luna by the God and Goddess. She wanted my position that she tricked Anthony to do her bad deeds. When she found out that they have been caught she ran with her 2 children.” Said Queen Rani.

“They are still out there looking for the power. This power hold more will then just wolf, this is the power that will keep us safe and evil at bay. I no longer can hold on. Once my body gives out the power will attract many evil creatures. I need you to find me first. You are the Heir of the Moon and Sun. You are the last of our line. You were my unborn child.” She said to me before slowly fading away. “I am where I have always been. In the center of the castle. I will be waiting for you.

I felt like the air from my body was slowly leaving and I woke up in a panic. It was already morning. I could see the sun light peeking through the curtains. Then there was a knock at the door.

“Hello, Rosalie. Are you awake?” Said the person on the other side.

“Yes, I just woke up. You can come in.” I said to the person.

The door opened and I saw Sage and Cecilia walk in. They looked a little worried about me.

“It’s about 11 am. We didn’t see you and Vincent mention something about you being exhausted. It is pretty overwhelming considering that you just got here, and we are through a lot at you.” Sage mention to me.

“It has been. I will manage. That is my duty as the Luna. Thank you for coming to see me.” I said to her with a smile. But my mind was still with my dream I just had with Queen Rani.

“Look, Vincent is off doing his Alpha Duty and we can skip wedding details today. Let’s take time to relax. What do you like to do?” Said Cecilia.

“No, I can’t leave my duties out. I must plan some of this wedding and the Luna Ceremony. I want to have it after the wedding. During the reception, after that we can commence our marriage.” I said to both. They just looked at each other then back and me and nodded their heads yes. No matter what I must get this done and find the Queen. I need to know what I can do to make this better.
