Rae's POV The next morning, the sun was high and bright by the time Mom finally came downstairs, hair damp from her shower, wearing that soft gray cardigan she always threw on after long trips. She looked rested, happy to be home, and completely unaware that her daughter had spent the night replaying every second of Killian's mouth between her legs. She poured herself coffee, leaned against the island, and smiled at us both like nothing had changed. "I was thinking," she said, blowing on her mug, "Rae, you need to pick up a few things from town.
