Rosaria. Fear consumed me. My heart pounded rapidly against my ribs. Looking at the black veins that seemed to be pulsating, I clenched my teeth. I had actually hoped, that maybe, just maybe, the curse wouldn’t recur and I would finally have my happily ever after. But I was wrong, everything repeats itself. The door clicked open and I hurriedly put my shirt back on. “Hey love, can’t sleep? Is something bothering you?” Alexander asked worriedly as he wrapped his hands around my waist and I leaned into his touch. “No, just felt a little warm so I wanted to take a shower. Let’s go back to bed.” I secretly hoped he couldn’t detect the slight shake in my voice. I’d have to prevent him from finding out about this. He looked so happy and I wanted to prolong that happiness as much as I could.
