“That was different! Your life is in danger, and to be rejected, from what Ida told me, causes pain, but both mates survive. Separation without rejection is the ultimate pain. We could never do that to anyone, let alone a young girl who you have finally befriended.” Chloe’s mother continued. “What exactly happened?” Chloe’s Dad asked. Zander informed his mate's parents of the call he had received, and what had transpired. “I promise you, that was not me, but I can ring Mr Davis, and confirm that fact, that Nicki is in good hands, and so is my daughter. I will tell him it was some schoolboy prank or something.” Mr Hancock sighed out. “Thank you, that may help.” Zander nodded, although he firmly believed Nick’s parents were going to arrive at the school, no matter what anyone did now.
