Linda was duped. She was disoriented, how did she want to go about it? She tried all her best but she couldn't reach the person that duped her. She only has the store she rented, there's no goods to sell in it. She was consoled by Gabriella, she applied for a part time job in a hair styling shop. Linda couldn't reach out to Richard again because she was ashamed of telling him what happened. On Richard's end, he was worried because he couldn't reach Linda. He tried to call her number but it wasn't going through. "Hey guy, what's up?" "Why did you look unhappy?" Martins Reed shouted so Richard could hear him. They were at the club and it was noisy, they had called each other to meet up after work so they could party. Martins is the son of a billionaire, and a party freak like Richard. They are friends but they have their self differences. Martins is arrogant, spoiled and was born into a rich family Richard was raised by his single mother, Samantha Anderson, he strived and worked to get to the position of a billionaire. Richard is humble and respectful, though he loves to flirt. "Nothing, I'm fine, just tired you know" Richard replied him He lied, he was actually unhappy that he couldn't reach out to Linda, he regretted not knowing her house. He doesn't know why he feels so concerned about her most of the time. A week later, Richard met with one of babes as he would always call them. She followed him to a hotel the night before after they partied at the club. The next morning, Richard went home and met his mother at his house. "Mum, what are you doing here? You didn't tell me you would come." Richard asked his mother with surprise in his face. "Yes, I'm glad you didn't change your door password. I would have become a soldier waiting at the entrance of your home. Richard, where did you sleep last night? You smell of alcohol!" His mother, Samantha said with a note of annoyance in her voice. "I'm sorry, mum. I partied last night so I slept at an hotel" Richard replied his mum "How's Olivia doing?" He asked so as to sway the conversation. "She's doing well, Richard," Samantha replied sharply. "You need to get a lady to marry, Son." "You can't continue to live your life like this" "You are getting old, besides your reputation out there matters" "You party everyday!" Samantha complained. "It's four times in a week, Mum" Richard cuts in "Will you stop saying that? What difference does it make!" His mother asked rhetorically. "I need you to get yourself a wife, Richard Stop joking with your life. Your love life matters You need to give birth to an heir that will handle all this riches of yours when you leave the world Besides, I'm not growing old I want to see my grandchildren Get married, Son." Samantha said firmly, one could feel how pained and angry she was about Richard's nonchalant attitude towards his love life. "Mum, I've heard You I would definitely work on it, I just need more time okay We don't need to hurry" Richard replied to his mum, as if to plead with her to understand him. "We need to hurry! There's no time You wouldn't say this, Richard. We argue about this all the time and this is always your reply More time, more time, more time Till when, Richard? Till what time?" Samantha said to him with concern in her face. "I'm sorry, Mum It would work out this time around" "What did you want to eat?" Richard asked his mum so as to prevent further discussion about his love life. The next week was a busy one for Richard, his company has to work on a fashion magazine. It was so tiring The Saturday after, he went out with his mum to do some shopping. After purchasing some goods, he went to a coffee shop to buy coffee for his mum and him. He was on his way out of the shop when he mistakenly collided with a lady. "I am so sorry" he apologized almost immediately "I hope you aren't hurt, I should ha….aave" He became so surprised and speechless as the lady raised her head. "Linda!" He exclaimed. What are you doing here? I've been looking for you I tried to call you but your dial wasn't going through . I don't know where you live. I would have come looking for you Why did you just collect the capital and left without a trace? That was not fair" Richard said to her, with a mixed expression of concern and annoyance. "I'm sorry, can we find time to talk about this? It is a long story" Linda told him. She regretted her actions. "I shouldn't have ran away from him I should have explained what happened But would he understand my plight" She thought to herself. "Hello lady How are you doing?" It was Samantha, Richard's Mother She has been watching both of them from the car where she sat and thought it's best for her to approach Linda. "Maybe she is Richard's girlfriend. She looks responsible I think I need to say hi to her" she had thought to herself. "I'm fine Good afternoon ma'am," Linda replied . She became curious about who the elderly woman was. "Mum!" Richard said surprisingly "Ohh….She is his mother" Linda thought to herself. "What are you doing here? I thought you were in the car" he continued. "Yes, I was But then, I saw you talking to this pretty lady and I decided to come say hi" Samantha replied him "You don't have to come say hi, she's just a friend" "Wow, his mother is pretty" Linda thought to herself "Linda! Please text me, You still have my number right? Ensure you do that please" Richard said as he signals to his mother that it's time they leave Linda nodded in response to what Richard said "Goodbye" she voiced out, as mother and son left her at the coffee shop entrance. "That lady is pretty, Son" Samantha broke the silence since they drove away from the coffee shop and headed home "How did you guys meet?" She asked further. "Mum, Yes she is How we met is insignificant? Trust me, I don't really know her She's just a casual friend" Richard replied to his mum, afraid that she would start another lecture on marriage at that moment. "You start from somewhere She looks responsible" Samantha advised her son "Yes she is, but it's not what you are thinking. Let's drop that issue ma." Richard replied "How's work at the spa going?" He said as he tried to divert the discussion. Linda texted Richard later at night They fixed an appointment to meet at a coffee shop to talk.
