My Mate, Her Brother

Chapter Three

When I get home I go straight to my room to get changed out of my school clothes. Once I’m done changing I go downstairs to the kitchen where I find my brother cooking. I sit down at the dinner table and wait till he turns around to say hi to him. A few moments later he turns around with a plate full of food for me. “ There you go sister. I hope you enjoy it. “ Ace says smiling. He turns back around and makes a plate for himself. 

“So did anything happen today that I should know about?” Ace asked with a hint of a grin on his face. I looked at him with a grin. Then started to dig in my backpack to find my phone. I flip through my contacts to find my mates phone number. Once I find it I text him. 

“Yea actually. I found my mate today.” I explain to Ace looking up from my phone. “ He is going to come over to study later today.” I say to Ace so he won't get mad when Jeremiah gets here. Ace nods then goes back to cooking.  I go up to my room to wait for Jeremiah. 

When I get to my room I sit on my bed and start to flip through my phone. After about an hour of waiting I finally hear the doorbell ring. “I’ll get it!” I yell as I rush to get the door. Once I reach the door I stop, pat down my hair and flatten the wrinkles in my shirt. When I’m done I open the door to see Jerimiah and  Victoria, my childhood bully, standing in front of the door. “Helo, Jeremiah. You may come in.” I say motioning for him to come in. 

Once Jeremiah gets inside I stop Victoria from entering. “What are you doing here? Come to insult me in front of my mate just like you do in front of my friends?” I ask like it's a fact. She shakes her heard, looking down at her feet. After a few seconds of standing there she looks up at me. 

“ I came here to apologize for my actions and cruelty towards you. Once my brother told me you were his mate I automatically felt bad for all the things I said and did to you.” She said looking at me then Jeremiah. ‘ So when I told Jeremiah about the things I did and said He told me to come and apologize to you because he did not want his mate and sister hating each other.” She said, looking down at her feet again. 

“Thank you for the apology. It is greatly appreciated. Would You like to come in or are you going to go home?” I ask stepping aside so she can come in if she would like to. She looks at me then looks at her brother. 

“ I should probably go home. I have some homework to get done. Have fun you two. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” She says winking at Jeremiah. She then turns around and walks to her car. Once she gets there she turns around to wave at Jeremiah and I and gets into her car. Once she pulls out the driveway I shut the door. Turn to face Jeremiah.

“So do you want a tour of the house? If not we can just go to my roo” I say, looking at Jeremiah. He thinks for a minute then gives me a smile. He walks up to me and takes my hand. 

“Lead the way, Beautiful.” He says, smiling. “ I better get to know the place my  precious mate spends most of her time.” He says while winking at me. I blush slightly and start to lead the way. I showed all the rooms in the house then I took him to meet Ace.

“Brother can we come in please?” I say while knocking on Aces office door.  After a few seconds of waiting I hear a flutter of papers and a brief ‘Come in’ from Ace. Once I open the door I hear a growl from Ace. Once I realize he sees Jeremiah it is too late. Ace rushes over to Jeremiah , growling at him in a fierce way only brothers do when trying to protect their siblings. Once realization hits me I  jump in between Ace and Jeremiah. “ Brother wait!” I yell to get Aces attention. “He’s my mate, Ace!” I yell.

After a few seconds Ace stops in his tracks to look at me with a puzzled look on his face. “Really?” Ace askes, shocked. I nod my head yes. “ I thought u were just joking when you said you found your mate.” Ace explains with an embarrassed look on his face. He turns to Jeremiah with an apologetic look in his eyes. “ I am sincerely sorry for my action towards you. I am Alpha Ace Crescent, but you can call me Ace.” Ace states to Jeremiah. Ace extends his arm for Jeremiah to shake. 

Jeremiah takes Aces’ hand and they shake hands.  Once they were done shaking hands Jeremaih introduced himself to Ace. I grab some papers off of Aces’ desk then lead Jeremiah to my room to do paperwork together to lighten the load for Ace. Once we reach my room I set the stack of papers down on my bed and walk over to Jeremiah. When I reach Jeremiah he wraps his arms around me in a tight embrace. My wolf prrs in delight from this action. 

After Jeremiah lets me go we both sit on my bed and start to fill out paperwork.  I look up at the stack of paperwork Jeremiah has completed. “ I didn't know you knew how to fill out Alpha paperwork.” I say, shocked. He looks up at me with a grin on his face. 

“Before I moved back home I was in Alpha training to take over My brothers pack.” He explains to me. I smile at him then get back to work. After a while I have to go get more paperwork for us to do. As Jeremiah and I fill out paperwork we laugh and get to know each other.  We fill out over half of my brother's paperwork in record time for dinner. 

“How much paperwork have you two got done together?” Ace asks when we get down to the kitchen. He looks at us from across the table with curiosity in his eyes. I look up at him with a grin. 

“ More than half. And I hope we can get a little bit more done tonight.” I say looking at Jeremiah with a big smile on my face. Once we all get done eating Ace excuses us while he does the dishes so we can do more paperwork for him. Jeremiah heads up the stairs. “ You just go to my room. I’m gonna grab the rest of the paperwork. Ok?” I say to him. Jeremiah nods and heads to my room. 

We do the rest of the paperwork and start to play some video games. We played Fortnite for a little while. After a while we get bored of Fortnite so we start to play C.O.D.. Soon we both fall asleep.
