I toss Chase his clothes and he gets dressed quickly. I ordered an uber since Lilah took my car home. Chase signs the AMA form and we leave the hospital. We passed the police officers that were standing guard and they told us Chase shouldn’t go home. We told them Chase was staying with Lilah and me and they let us go.
“Where is your car?” Chase asks.
“Lilah went home, remember,” I say.
“Yeah I forgot about that,” he says. A black SUV pulls up in front of us.
“Rides here,” I say.
“Let’s go,” he says.
We get in and the car takes us to Jennifer’s parents house. When we pull up a police car is just pulling away followed by a black unmarked car.
