After the amazing day we had I don’t want to let Delilah go. We’re making dinner for the kids and I love watching her dance around my kitchen.
“Why don’t you guys stay the night?” I ask.
“We can’t,” she says.
“Why not?” I ask frowning.
“Because we both have work tomorrow and Annabel has school. Plus I need to look into preschool for JJ. He’s becoming a handful around the café and we can’t just keep him around the shop. He’s going to get hurt,” she says.
“You’re right. I’m sorry,” I say.
“Daddy you know we’d love to stay but we don’t have any of our stuff here,” she says rubbing her hands up my chest and around my neck.
“I know baby girl. I’m just not ready to let you go yet,” I say.
