I left Jake’s office and headed to pick up the kids. Jake added me to Annabel's paperwork as an authorized pickup person so I wouldn’t have any issues. As I’m getting in my car I swear I am being followed but every time I turn around I don’t see anyone. I get out of my car and wait with the other parents for their kids to come out. I hear her before I see her.
“Rae, you’re here!” She yells.
“I’m here, but I can’t see you,” I called back.
Annabel wiggled her way through the kids and adults and jumped on me nearly knocking me to the ground.
“There you are, big girl,” I give her the biggest hug. “Are you ready to go pick up JJ?”
“Yaaay. I can’t wait to tell him what I did at school today,” Annabel says.
