Chapter 9The trio bids farewell to Alwin and Craty as they prepare to continue the long journey toward Thorenn. Craty hands Skken a bag filled with dried beef and crusty bread while Ashcon and Alwin embrace. As Alwin walks with them to the stable to retrieve their horses, he has a suggestion for Ashcon. “It might be worth a quick stop in Stagg on your way to Thorenn.”
“I'm not familiar,” Ashcon replies. “Where is Stagg?”
“It's about halfway between here and Thorenn, forty leagues north of the Continental Pass,” answers Alwin. “There's a tavern there called the Slaughtered Boar run by a dwarf named Horace. He's a member of the Guild of Slight and runs some of their smaller operations in a few of the hamlets surrounding Stagg. He is a lifelong friend and will certainly have some informatio
