Chapter 21Zidi has just finished his morning briefing with Drak'thonn and starts to return to his residence beneath the Temple of the Dark Gods. Before he exits the Skeed Towers, he grasps his staff, closes his eyes, and silently summons his apprentice to meet him at the temple. As he steps out into the darkness, he is taking in all he has just learned. Selentha, leader of the dreggans of the northern continent, is now equal in power to Drak'thonn and will become his bride. Zidi cringes at the thought of imparting this information to the council, as Drak'thonn made it his charge to do so. He rides up to the entrance to the temple and starts mentally planning the rest of the day as he hands his horse to the stable boy and goes to meet his apprentice.
