Chapter 40“So you actually trained at the Fortress of the Invoker?” asks Talon as they maneuver the horses carefully through the thick brush with the sun at their back.
“Yes,” replies Ashcon, “It should be a brisk yet sunny day.” He pauses and then continues. “When I was ordained a runestar, as you know there were no seekers. I had to spend fourteen winters at the Fortress of the Invoker until I learned to harness my power.”
“So what happened after seekers were introduced?”
“Once seekers were introduced, their training changed and will be what you go through.” Ashcon laughs rather loudly and says, “It will be new for me as well, as I have never trained a seeker of course.”
