Chapter 48The three men stand in unison as the women enter the room. Sorenthor says, “Welcome, ladies.” He makes his way over to Ka'alshene, kisses her on both cheeks, and points to two chairs that just appeared.
“I see you have met Sapphyre,” says Sorenthor.
“Indeed,” replies the high priestess. “I had no idea, Sorenthor. Did you?”
“No, I did not. It came as a shock, but it is all starting to make sense.” He looks at the other three and apologizes. “I'm sorry.” He looks at Sapphyre. “I believe that things will be much clearer in short order.”
“I hope so,” says Sapphyre softly.
Sorenthor stands up and starts pacing before speaking. “As you are aware, Sapphyre, Ka'alshene and I knew your parents. Your father was my runestar, Kentin, and your mother was his true love, Nestair.” He walks
