The following day, Liliana found the office all abuzz with gossip. It wasn't the usual tidbits of nonsensical information. Instead, it hit close to the heart.
"Well, it sounds like Felicia Asmodeus has been fooling us all. Most of all, Ron Howell, the senior partner. Looks like she has run off with another guy."
Ms. Jenkins stood in the doorway. Her 'bombshell pink' lips spread in a smug grin. Raised eyebrows and a devilish smirk barely concealing her glee.
"Never liked the woman. Saw this from the beginning."
Liliana plopped down on the stiff leather chair behind your desk. The words of the assistant landing in bright snippets on the ground around her. Tipping forward, she reached for the phone sitting on the desk's blotter. Just then, the screen lit up…' D. Xander.'
