The following day started late in the afternoon. The housekeeper had been kind enough to leave a small tray with a note on the bedside table. The neatly written instructions informed Liliana of reaching the staff once she had risen.
"Mrs. Medlock, can you properly show me around the house? I would imagine there were many details that Mr. Xander left out in our tour last night."
"Miss Farley, I would enjoy doing just that. We've never had a woman other than myself visit the private home. Mr. Xander keeps other residences strictly for entertainment purposes."
