Diane felt better after having dinner with Alex. She could feel Alex comforting her in a friendly way. She is aware that Alex still fancies her, but she believes if she doesn’t give him any false hope or mislead his feelings, they could still be friends as long as he doesn’t overstep their friendship boundaries, no need to lose another friend. She doesn’t have a lot, but she values all of them dearly. She knows if the situation were the other way around, like him being cheated, she would react the same as a friend. She won’t go berserk, but she would still say her piece of mind concerning the matter. And just like Alex, she would also be happy to be around.
