Before Diane’s day ended, she received another call from Dean Reynolds. She was on her way to change her gown and get her bag to head home.
“Doctor Lee, I need you to stay beside your patient until he leaves the hospital tomorrow morning, then you can have the day off,” his abrupt but apologetic voice startled Diane.
“I won’t say no, but can I ask why?” Diane was curious because John’s case isn’t something critical that needs a round-the-clock physician to stay beside him.
Carl sighed. Diane Lee is one of the doctors in the hospital that shows professionalism more than anyone else he has ever seen. He is actually relieved that she is the one handling John’s case as he values John as one of his VIPs, career and personally speaking.
