John helped Diane get into the car first then he settled himself beside her. He was thinking of how to bring her to Denny. He was trying to check if her mood is really what he can see in her face. While they were working, he was sure her mood was just in work mode but now that they are off work, he worries her mind will remember fear. She looked fine but, is she really?
“I hope you can tell me how you really feel right now…” John softly mentioned.
Diane turned to look at him with a simple smile. She is more used to a teasing John. But she is also starting to feel comfortable with the comforting side of him.
“I feel sad, actually”. She plainly said. An answer John had never thought he would hear from her. Or at least, that was not the answer he was expecting to hear. That emotion is too
