Chapter 6 Tris' POV

734 Words
~Monday Morning~ I wake up and get ready for school. On the way I think of all the possibilities. And by that I mean varieties of my death. I haven't heard or seen Four since the game. But he's planning something. I just know. I pull in the parking lot and get out of my car. No sign of Four. Good. Wait, not good. "Hey Tris" a voice says from behind. I turn around to see... Oh phew, just Lynn. "Hi" I say. "Haven't seen Four and his posse, you?" "Nope" "Oh, well good luck! I gotta get to my locker" she says and walks towards her locker. I walk to my locker and get my stuff out. I close the door and see a figure leaning against a locker behind it. Four. But he's smirking. Not an evil smirk. That flirty smirk that makes the girls fall head over heels for him. "Hey Tris, I never got to say it Friday, but good game." he says. Strange. "Thanks, you too..." I say and begin walking away. He runs up to my side but I keep walking. "So I heard we're partners in Science" "WHAT!" I spit out. "Oh ya, you were sick, so" he says like it's no big deal. I continue to walk. "Anyways, wanna hang out after school?" he says. I stop dead in my tracks. What's going on with him. He wants to be my friend? He 'likes' me? No! He's tricking me! He's going to pretend to be my friend for some devious plan of his. Well two can play at that game! I just will give him false information. And get what I want from him. His real name! "Um, sure." I say answering his question. "OK cool" he says. We walk into class and sit down, me next to Shauna, him next to Zeke behind us. Me and Shauna look back at them and they look back at us. Zeke smirks at Shauna. She huffs and turns around. Four smirks at me. I just shake my head slightly laughing and turn back around. ~After School~ After my final class I walk to my locker and pack up my stuff. Four's locker is near mine so I meet him there when I'm done. "Ready?" he asks. I nod. We walk to his car and he begins to drive. "So what makes you suddenly like me?" I ask to push his buttons. Let's see what his excuse is. "Umm, I don't know, I realized we have a lot in common. And when I saw you make up with Chris I figured I should try to be nice as well." He quickly says. "Oh" I say. It doesn't sound rehearsed, and it was kind of convincing. No, he's faking, I know it. We pull into the driveway of a beautiful mansion. "Wow is this your house?" I ask stunned. "Ya, my dads the-" he stops. "He's very wealthy." He covers up. I want to figure out what he's hiding about him and his dad. Well, it's now or never. I follow him into the house and up the stairs to a bedroom. It's huge with a queen size bed in the middle against the wall. There's a desk, drawers, and two doors. One is probably a closet and one is probably the bathroom. "Come on in" he says taking a seat on his bed. I sit in the desk chair and set my bookbag on the floor. "Shall we get started with Science or English?" He asks. Turns out we were paired up for that too. "Science" I say. We begin our project. After a while we're finally done. "Let's take a snack break" he says. I nod and follow him to the kitchen. "Soda? He asks scanning the fridge. "No thanks, can I just have a water?" I ask. "Of course." he says handing me a water. He grabs some chips and we both head back to his bedroom and return to our original positions. I grab a few chips and begin eating. "So, what's your dad do that gets him all this money?" I ask. "Oh you know, government stuff" He says. I'm not convinced but I let it slide. He clears his throat before I can ask about his mother. I'm guessing he knew I would. "Should we start the English now?" He asks. "Sure" I say.
