CHAPTER TWO

MIKHAIL I didn’t resist, I didn’t hold back. I didn’t fight it. I just let her kiss me. The first passionate kiss I’ve ever had in a while. I didn’t know when I let go of the wine in my hands as I brought my hands to her waist, I wanted more. Just more of her lips, of her tongue. Just a little wasn’t enough for me. I pulled her closer, raking my hands into her hair, a deep throat moan escaped from her lips which got me riled up. Then she suddenly stopped, staring into my eyes as she drifted away. I searched her eyes, the gray colour shone brighter than...the fireworks blew off!!! “Happy new year!!!!!” The crowd screamed before our eyes diverted to the fireworks in the sky. “Happy new year,” she said softly to me and I stared on blankly at her, her rosy red cheeks creasing up into a soft smile as she extended her hand for a handshake. “Best wishes,” I said as I took her cold hand, my eyes locking with hers, I didn’t want to break away from her gaze neither did I want to let her hand go. Her eyes were so beautiful, her face was so beautiful, my lips still burned from her kiss, “My name is Dana Monroe.” She said as she pulled her hand away from mine. She just told me her name, it’s just normal if I tell her mine right? But no one is supposed to know who I am, right? “Uh...My name is Kyle,” it’s a nickname I only know of. She nodded her head, “Nice to meet you Kyle!” She said smiling before Sasha jumped into us, circling her arms around me. “I’ve been looking for you!!” Sasha squealed as she back hugged me, “Why did you leave your men out there in the cold and come over here, that’s why it was so hard to find you.” I frowned trying to ignore her, “Dana...” Sasha began to shove me away, “Let’s go,” she said as she pulled me away, I looked back to see Dana still standing until we got mixed up in the crowd and I couldn’t see her again. A part of me felt lost, a part of me wanted to go back. A part of me still wanted to stare into the cold gray eyes of Dana. But I can’t be thinking of that now, I’m not in any position to be thinking of someone I just kissed. Sasha led me into the car and the door was closed, the chauffeur was driving away. “Happy new year love, I have so much prepared for us, we just need to get to the hotel.” Sasha whispered nibbling at my ear smiling cheerfully. I stared at her, maybe I’d forget Dana when I hold Sasha in my arms, “Daddy want us back home Sasha, your mother will scold you if you stay over at my side again today.” “Don’t spoil the fun today Mikhail, it’s new year.” She said as she kissed me, I held her in my arms returning the kisses gently, my head filled with the picture of Dana’s face in the light. Her hand brushing against my neck as she kissed me, her tongue entwined in mine, my hands in her short hair, I never knew hair could feel beautiful, relaxing until I held onto Dana’s. DANA I held my breathe for a moment, I paused to think as I watched him walk away. I can’t believe I kissed him. That wasn’t the plan. Well, it was but I didn’t mean for it to happen so swiftly. He just had the most beautiful eyes I had ever gazed upon, I just didn’t know when my hands circled around his neck and I was holding him down. He didn’t even resist. My lips burned, my breast twitched, it’s because I have starved myself of affection for more than two months now. Kissing a kid in the middle of the street, what nonsense. Snap out of it!! I dialed Lucky’s number, “Hello,” I said, “I managed to slip a tracker into his pocket, check if that can get you logged in.” I added before I turned around and walked into the department store where I borrowed the gown I wore. “Thank you so much,” I said as I took off the wig, my black long hair scattering all over my shoulders before I began to comb through with my fingers. I flagged down a taxi which took me to my hotel, I came down checked into my room and slumped into the bed. “Best wishes,” his voice filtrated into my head when I tried to close my eyes, his warm blue gaze made me shudder. I opened my eyes, How could that kid be so handsome? Tall, I didn’t expect I’d be meeting a very handsome masculine kid. His height was so intimidating that for a moment, I forgot he was a high schooler. Ugh! I am going crazy. My fingers went into my hair for the second time, I shouldn’t have kissed him. Because I can’t be getting turned on because of a kiss I had with a high school kid. But sleep eluded me, I was restless. I just couldn’t get the image of his face off my head. The way the name, “Kyle,” rolled off from his tongue. Will I ever see him again? “You did so well this time Dana, I’m proud of you,” Boss complimented as I stood infront of him three days later. “With only this information from the Petrov’s, we can deal, get into business and have several ties to the Russian market.” I frowned, “But sir, this wasn’t what we...” “Your job is done, you may leave now.” He interrupted but I couldn’t leave. The mischievous gaze in his eyes had a lot to tell me. “You had me do this for the chairman?” I asked while he looked up, his face didn’t deny it, anger surged into my system. “Why? He paid you to...” “You don’t question me, you just do as you’re told. You may leave.” I swallowed, it’s none of my business, right? “What of the job? You told me you’d get me connected to the FBI...” “And why would I do that for you?” “What?”
