Chapter 11Somehow, even though the scale was nearly identical, Silver knew that the corridor was tiny. When the Foundation first began designing spaceships, they were sized appropriately for humans even though the initial concept of using homunculi was already cemented in place. The rumor was that the engineer who first raised shrinking the size of the vessels to match the homunculi was laughed out of the room. It was their manager who got the praise and a bonus that paid for an early tropical retirement.
