THE MAN I MARRIED...
CHAPTER 3
I looked at the time and sighed, getting up from bed. I didn't have any pregnancy symptoms other than fatigue. I cleaned up my room and walked to the bathroom, taking a bath. I had a late night dinner with Zwane, then later a few hours with him. I needed to save as much money as I could. I had gotten some girl who needed a place to stay.
Zwane didn't like coming to my place he preferred his townhouse at the other side of town, so I was safe to rent out at least two of the other bedrooms for now. They were both moving in the following day. I put on a black sexy backless dress with mules, and I had my weave in a ponytail. I looked good with a face bare of makeup. Zwane didn't like it.
I ubered for myself and got an apple walking out of my place. I locked behind me, walking out of the complex. The Uber was already waiting for me. It took me straight to the restaurant. I paid, then got out of the car walking inside. He waved when i walked in.
Zwane:Nkosazana, you look beautiful.
Nalo:Thank you. You don't look bad yourself.
Zwane:I'm gaining more weight. I'm scared I won't be able to keep up with you. I just don't have time for the gym.
Nalo:You always go above and beyond to make me happy, Daddy.
Zwane:We're in public sweetheart don't call me that.
A waiter came to take our order and then walked away. I put my hand on his lap, and he sucked in a breath, his eyes on mine.
Zwane:I missed you.
Nalo:I know, Daddy. I missed you too.
He kissed the back of my hand and went on to talk about his business in Namibia. I wouldn't mind being this man's fourth wive. He had deep pockets and could satisfy a woman in bed.
A thought of Ntlantsi crossed my mind, but that man scared the hell out of me. His eyes were wild, and I knew I could never be anything to him even if I thought ndinegila.
We spoke over a light conversation. I felt eyes on me as I kept playing with Zwane's hand. He liked being touched, and I made sure to feed each and every like of his.
He always says I make him happy, and him being happy means my bank account will be happy too. I looked up to find Ntlantsi and Xhanti looking at me.
I didn't know them that much other than the fact that Ntlantsi knew how to lay down the pipe. My body buzzed at the look in his eyes. They scared me, no lie, but they held a promise.
A promise my body knew too well. I excused myself going to the bathroom. I didn't understand how a man I hardly knew could affect me like this.
None of my sponsors ever did that to me, but him. He wasn't even my sponsor, just a man I slept with. I relieved myself and wiped my lady parts before getting out of the cubicle.
I rinsed my hands. I caught the smell of his cologne before I could see him. He stood behind me, his eyes locking with mine through the mirror.
Ntlantsi:I missed you.
Nalo:I'm not your woman. You shouldn't miss me.
Ntlantsi:I hit it Nalo you're as good as mine.
Nalo:As good as yours doesn't mean I'm yours. Forget about me. I did you.
I lied through my teeth and walked out of the toilet. I heard his chuckle, but I didn't want to associate myself with him. I would make sure to stay as far away from him as possible for mine and my child's sake.
Zwane took me to his townhouse just as I thought he would. Like all the other times, he made sure we both enjoyed ourselves even though I couldn't stop thinking about Ntlantsi.
He paid me what's due to me and a little extra. When I got home, I took most of the other clothes I was wearing anymore, took pictures, and posted on the gram and f*******: selling them.
I needed the money and I needed a job as well. The rest of the week passed by in a blur. I sold most of my clothes. I had an interview for a receptionist post at MM Elecs. I didn't even know the company until I saw the post.
They dealt with everything electricity and seemed to be doing good. Especially with the many tenders they got each and every year. They were even working closely with Eskom. The pay was good, too.
I got myself an appointment with a doctor for today. I woke up earlier and did my laundry. Mihle, one of my roommates, was in the kitchen when I walked out of my bedroom.
I looked so good in the red women's power suit i had on with red stilettos.
Mihle:Mmh, look at you glowing. You're seriously going to take the CEO position dressed like that.
Nalo:If only we got jobs according to our dressing standards.
Lina:I would be some power woman in the front page of Forbes right about now.
