13 Lily tried to convince herself nothing was out of the ordinary, but she was paranoid. Every time she stepped on an elevator, she looked for menacing people. She heated up her lunch and nearly screamed when it popped. She even freaked out when one of her coworkers walked into her office with a question. “Are you okay?” Adam asked, eyes narrowed.
