Epilogue I awoke staring up at the moonlight filtering through the tree crowns. A soft breeze caressed my cheek, distracting and soothing at the same time. The world was swaying and I was moving with it, swinging from side to side like a feather in the wind. Something warm was putting pressure on my legs and as I reached out to touch the fluffy weight, I found Hyde. His ears were flattened on his head and his tail curled tightly around me, even protective in his sleep. I gave him a soft scratch, the guilt overwhelming now he was here with me, even if I knew there was nothing else I could’ve done. But that didn’t solve the question of where I was or why he was here. A quick look around revealed I was in a hammock in the middle of the forest. How strange. “She’s awake!” someone yelled.
